A dull and tedious attempt at humour!
24 September 2015 | by Robinson2511See all my reviews

Another dull and feeble attempt at humour by Stephen Lewis and Bob Grant, in which everything fails past the first five minutes, every joke is incredibly forced, to the point that even the cast don't know quite how to make them funny. The cast seem very awkward here, playing everything over the top to try and make it humorous, sometimes it works, but 80% of the time it fails miserably. There are a few moments that had me laughing, but each and every time it just reminded be of when On the Buses was constantly funny and I wasn't surprised when I found a scene funny. This is where the writers over dependence on the character of the General Manager after Reg Varney's departure begins to show, the character just shows up when it's necessary for Blakey to be made a fool of, which is irritating!
