Trivia

When they are in the Apache camp, Chief Running Wolf (actor Henry Brandon) asks Johnny Yuma (actor Nick Adams), "Why do you go to see Satanta of the Kiowas?" Johnny answers, "Before he made peace with the Whites, he gave me this [tooth necklace] at Fort Concho; he made me his Brother... he sent for me."

This is a reference to Season 1 Episode 3, "Yellow Hair", where the blood-brother ceremony between Chief Satanta and Johnny Yuma occurs. See more »

John Sutton and Henry Brandon
28 July 2016 | by kevinolzakSee all my reviews

"Gold Seeker" begins with a wounded Johnny Yuma burying the wife of his prisoner, the woman's husband (John Sutton, later seen in "The Earl of Durango") her murderer, having married the daughter of Apache chief Running Wolf (Henry Brandon) only because he coveted the gold on their land. Touch the Clouds (Eddie Little Sky, last of two) is her brother, firing a shot at Yuma and killing his horse, taking a bullet for his efforts. Johnny wants to take the gold seeker to the nearest fort to stand trial, but in his condition Running Wolf catches up with them first, convinced that his white son is innocent, until Yuma's version is proved true in the end. The final shot is chilling, the gold seeker left nameless, in the third script (out of four) from series creator Andrew J. Fenady.
