Trivia

During the fight scene between Roseanne and Audrey, Roseanne landed on Debbie Reynolds so hard that Debbie actually broke a rib. Debbie Reynolds kept performing and didn't even tell her costar about the accident until years later. See more »

Goofs

In this episode, Dan's mother (Audrey) is played by Debbie Reynolds but was previously played by Ann Wedgeworth in an earlier Thanksgiving episode in 1989. A far more glaring plot hole is that it is mentioned in this episode that Dan was responsible for committing his mother to a mental hospital 20 years earlier which defies the character's complete normalcy and her Thanksgiving appearance less than 10 years earlier. Quotes

Dan Conner: Somebody closed the garage door.
Roseanne: Like... the wind?
Dan Conner: Yeah, and I suppose Mr. Wind started up the motorcycle as well.

Totally Excellent!

This was one of the best shows in the latter seasons. I cant believe how superb the writing for this show was. It was brilliant from beginning to end.

Debbie Reynolds was the best I've ever seen in all her acting. This is one episode NOT to miss.

Just when you think there cant possibly be anything else left to portray, the writers dig up another hunk of meat to really chew.

This episodes title is perfect.

Comedy rises through the seriousness of this show. It is a laugh a minute, then a thought provoking scene, followed by more laughs. It is comic genius.
