"The Kidnapping" ep of "Shaft" is one of the better episodes of the short-lived series
1 July 2019 | by tavmSee all my reviews

Written by William Read Woodfield and Allan Balter-the developers of this TV version of "Shaft", this is one of the more exciting of the eps I've reviewed so far. Starting with the end scene of Shaft's Big Score, news of that account attracts the attention of some would-be kidnappers of a wife of a banker. I'll stop there and just say this was quite thrilling from beginning to end. Also appearing is Jayne Kennedy, quite a beauty of her race who gets some time with John Shaft before getting that call that sets the plot going. Presumably, she and Shaft got to finish what they started after this ep was over! So on that note, "The Kidnapping" ep of "Shaft" is well worth seeing.
