Doctor's oath is tested.

Dr. Alan McMurdo is working in a small town out on the western edge of the prairie. McMurdo is one of two doctors in the area and he takes care of the people that live outside of town. The town doctor, Caslin, is ready to retire and wants McMurdo over his town practice. But it seems some people are not happy with McMurdo's actions.

One afternoon, Jenny Bechdolt comes to his office and asks him to ride out to her place and help her husband. He is wanted by the law and wants the doctor to keep it a secret. Doctor McMurdo agrees and treats the wanted man. When McMurdo returns to town they want to know if he has treated anyone for a gunshot. McMurdo refuses to say anything but that does not stop one of the town leaders in trying to get the information.

Even though the story ended in a rather sappy fashion, the episode was entertaining enough to make for an interesting watch. An interesting tale of doctor in the rural west. Nice story.
