Stranded
4 November 2016 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

Probably one of the worst things in the world is to be stranded in a small town with no money or visible means of support. Bad enough for a man, how much worse is it for a pregnant woman. And this is the old west, opportunities were limit for women even if they weren't pregnant.

Felicia Farr and James Whitmore play first a woman in that very predicament and the blacksmith who helps her out. Farr is very touching as the woman who was abandoned by her worthless husband who is later killed. Whitmore's gruff persona hides a very kindly exterior. He's the only one in the town really willing to help.

As Farr talks of her life she's very moving. One hopes the two of them find each other as Whitmore also has seen tragedy.

A good one from the Zane Grey Theater.
