Rhoda is feeling great about her life as she comes to the realization that her business is doing extremely well. She wants to extend her happiness to both Brenda and Joe, the latter who she wants to give the best night of his life. But that night is interrupted by a telephone call from Myrna, who implies that the latest client she has just nabbed for them was done all through her sex appeal and not Rhoda's talent, as the client never even looked at Rhoda's sketches. When Rhoda confronts Myrna the next morning at the office, Myrna admits that she is dating all fourteen of their customers, she stating that her "friendliness" is what sets them apart from other window dressing companies.
