Goofs

When Joy steals a truck, there's a guy locked in the back. When any interior shots of him are shown, the back of the truck is well lit. However, the back of the truck has no light, so the interior shots should be in the dark. See more »

Quotes

[at the Crabshack, Joy is playing a game of pool against an unnamed female opponent as Earl looks on]
Earl: [voiceover] When we were married, I wasn't very good at backing up my wife in arguments with strangers.
Joy: Twelve ball, side pocket.
[Joy's opponent fouls the shot by hitting Joy's pool cue]
Joy: Okay: do it again, and I'm gonna pop those boobie implants of yours, make you fly around this bar like a loose balloon.

Average opening episode to the second season
15 June 2007 | by DVD_ConnoisseurSee all my reviews

In the UK, we're an incredible 9 months behind the USA and it's seemed an age for this second season to hit these shores. After a long wait, the opening episode is something of an anticlimax.

The beautiful Jaime Pressly delights as Joy Turner, a woman who can pull the most outrageous expressions (which are captured in freeze-frame at appropriate moments), and Jason Lee is always spot-on with his comic delivery. I think this episode failed to really hit the mark due to a relatively poor script. And, to be honest, I missed the presence of the exquisite Nadine Velazquez.

7 out of 10. Not a great start to the season but I'm confident things will improve as the show progresses.
