When Milton's wife gets upset at him missing their anniversary, Ricky's wife, Lucy, assists Milton in a crazy scheme to help Milton's wife forgive her. Trivia

In front of the Justice of the Peace, Lucy and Berle have an exchange that is inspired by the song "The Rain in Spain" from the Lerner and Loewe musical "My Fair Lady," which opened on Broadway in 1956. The film version would not be made until 1964. The following year, Lucille Ball did her own version, "My Fair Lucy" (S3;E20) on "The Lucy Show." On a 1971 episode of "Here's Lucy," Gale Gordon and Dan Dailey talk/sang the song "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" from "My Fair Lady." See more »

Quotes

Lucy Ricardo: [in a broad Cockney accent] From the train to the plane he caught a beastly pain.
Minister: I beg your pardon?
Lucy Ricardo: [in a refined English accent, enunciating each word] From the train to the plane he caught a beastly pain.
Milton Berle: By George, I think she's go it. She's got it!

Milton Berle Show with Lucielle Ball and Desi Arnaz
28 August 2014 | by dandhappycatSee all my reviews

I saw about 80% of this episode so many years ago that I taped part of it on a VCR!!! It was so funny with an unexpected hilarious surprise scene. The always great Nancy Culp (Miss Jane from the Beverly Hillbillies) makes an appearance, wonderful as always and we even get to Milton Berle's real life wife act in it, who turns out to be a pretty good actress and really pretty too! It was truly one of my favorite shows ever. (I looked for years for this show under the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, not realizing it was actually one of Milton Berle's shows.) Does anyone know where in the world I can go to watch or buy this show??? If you get a chance to watch it, by all means do so. You won't be sorry!
