  • From producer Ashok Amritraj:

We did up to a point and then we went off and went into... it is a classic martial arts movie. I mean its a classic genre martial arts film in certain ways. In other ways it has the hadouken - the chi ball. It has the spinning bird kick you know, where she does her spinning bird kick. It has many of those sort of iconic images to it, but I think the action sequences are quite wonderful to tell you the truth.

  • No.

According to the movie's producer Patrick Aiello, our heroes will not be left out. But, please note, this is only based on if the movie becomes a "success." -Street Fighter

Justin Ashok and Capcom got together and decided to make it more of an origin story for Chun Li. There are just way too many characters in the Street Fighter universe to cram them all into one film. We want to do each one the justice he/she deserves. So, in short, Ken and Ryu will not be appearing in this film. But, that doesnt mean we wont see our red and white-clad heroes in potential sequels. -Patrick Aiello, Producer Edit (Coming Soon)

  • It'd be silly to put Neal McDonoughs Bison in a bright red suit and captains hat with a pair of humongous shoulder pads. It works great in the video game, but in real life, it just wouldnt look intimidating. The same can be said for Balrog. Hes an enforcer. A killer. A take-no-shit brawler to the core. And so, how scary would he be on screen if he beat people up with boxing gloves and a pair of blue short-shorts?

All that said, do not worry. We havent turned a blind eye on the game we all know and love. At some point, Chun Li will sport her trademark buns (the ones in her HAIR!) and of course, Vegas still got the mask and claw, for starters. - Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Chun-Li, M. Bison, Rose (Street Fighter Alpha), Balrog, Nash (Charlie), Vega, and Gen. Edit (Coming Soon)

  • No.

"I think it was just a 'lost in translation' snippet where he thought they were asking about a sequel to his movie fifteen years ago. But no, he was never offered a part in The Legend of Chun-Li because there is no part for him. - Justin Marks, Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Alright. Regarding the tone, I'm pleased to say we are certainly not going for camp or cheese or any kind of laughs. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into the making of this film and you're gonna see a lot of those ON film as well. While were definitely not trying to make the next Citizen Kane, we are going for a somewhat more realistic, gritty, dramatic, and oh yes, action-packed direction than you might expect. In turn, I think were going to give you a much more satisfying film.

  • This film is based on the "Street Fighter: Alpha" series and focuses on the events that happend before the second "World Warrior" tournament. Chun-Li was not in the original SF tournament, but she was in the 2nd, which is what the "Street Fighter II" game is based on. Chun-Li met Charlie before she met Guile, who entered the "World Warrior" to investigate Charlie's death in the hands of M. Bison. Chun-Li is the first character of the series to have a connection to Bison, the series' main antagonist because he killed her father. Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Most likely not, since just looking at the characters alone, they are vastly different from the ones 1994 movie, in the 94 movie Balrog was one of Chun-li's allies, in this he's working for Bison. Not to mention the differences between Raul Julia's Bison and this one are very different also. Edit (Coming Soon)

  • As recently common there is besides the rated PG also the unrated version released on DVD for the US home market. The good news: This time really only violent scenes have been added but that doesnt improve the movie. Furthermore both versions are on one DVD so you dont have to spend more money.
