"Game of Thrones" - Sophie Turner In "Vogue"

Take a look at new images of actress Sophie Turner ("Game of Thrones") is the July 2019 issue of "Vogue" (China) magazine, photographed by Daniel Jackson:

"I learn something new everyday about myself as an actor, my capabilities, how far I can stretch myself, throw out emotions I never knew I had," said Turner.

"I don't really have a process. I'm very much an in-the-moment actress. I suppose I just kind of wing it because I feel that as long as I know my character, I should be able to be spontaneous on set.

"You've got to be happy when you play a sad character; otherwise, you just get depressed. Make your real life as fun as possible.

"My whole adolescence has been on 'Game of Thrones;' I don't know what I'm going to do without it.

Rocketman director considered a Rami Malek Freddie Mercury cameo

Director Dexter Fletcher has revealed that he considered bringing together two of music’s biggest icons in this year’s Elton John film Rocketman.

Having stepped in to complete Bohemian Rhapsody following Bryan Singer’s firing, Fletcher gave some thought to have Rami Malek reprising his Oscar-winning role as Freddie Mercury for a brief cameo in a scene alongside Taron Egerton’s Elton John.

“There was an idea I had [at] one point, where Elton’s in a restaurant with his mother,” said Fletcher (via Deadline). “I thought John Reid and Freddie could be at another table and they wave at each other! That would have been amazing, but it didn’t come to pass. It would’ve been a little too knowing. I’m not looking to set out to make a cinematic universe!”

The John Reid that Fletcher refers to is the manager of both Elton John and Queen,

Star Wars Celebration returning to Anaheim in 2020

The official Star Wars website has announced that Star Wars Celebration is returning to Anaheim, California next year, with the fourteenth edition of the convention set to run between August 27th and August 30th 2020.

Celebration Anaheim II promises “four fun-filled days of major announcements, immersive exhibits, an interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, costumes, and other surprises.”

Seeing as the Skywalker Saga will have drawn to a close with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Disney+ will have presumably released The Mandalorian and the Cassian Andor series by the time August 2020 rolls around, it will be interesting to see what kind of announcements and panels we can expect from next year’s Celebration.

Presumably, there’ll be some focus on The Empire Strikes Back, given that it will be celebrating its 40th anniversary, as well as celebrating the end of the Skywalker Saga.

As a Reminder, Here's Everyone in the Game of Thrones Prequel's Cast

As a Reminder, Here's Everyone in the Game of Thrones Prequel's Cast
Plans for the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel are moving right along, to the point where we've already gotten a few exciting casting announcements and news of when to expect it to premiere. In addition to Naomi Watts joining the cast, alums from Poldark, Humans, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and more have also signed on, though not much is known about any of their characters. What we do know, however, is that you shouldn't expect anyone from the original series to appear on the show.

The pilot for the prequel is set thousands of years before the events featured in author George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series. According to HBO's description of the project, the series "chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour, and only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of

Kate Middleton and Prince William's Perfect Date Night Is Surprisingly Low-Key

  • Popsugar
Prince William and Kate Middleton may be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but their ideal date night is actually pretty low-key. According to Us Weekly, when it comes to spending quality time together, the royal couple enjoys the simple things in life. "Kate loves nothing more than ordering Indian takeaway and eating it from a dinner tray on the couch while watching a bit of Netflix with William," a source told the outlet.

And if you're wondering what shows they like to watch, back in 2017, William revealed that he and Kate are fans of Homeland and Game of Thrones. However, now that Game of Thrones has ended, they've apparently been binge-watching Bodyguard.

William and Kate tied the knot in a lavish royal wedding in April 2011 and are parents to three beautiful children, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1. Despite how busy their schedules may get, we're glad they

An Ode to Emilia Clarke on Game of Thrones, In Spite of Everything She Had to Work With

An Ode to Emilia Clarke on Game of Thrones, In Spite of Everything She Had to Work With
No matter what we all thought about the final season of Game of Thrones, it's hard to argue one thing: Emilia Clarke gave it her all.  The story of Daenerys Targaryen, which came to a tragic end as she burned King's Landing down and was then stabbed by her boyfriend Jon Snow, was a rough one to say the very least. She also watched two of her best friends die right in front of her, lost a dragon, learned her cabinet members were betraying her, discovered that her boyfriend was also her nephew/the rightful heir to her throne, and went to war against a bunch of zombies, all while keeping her perfect braids and manicure totally in tact.  Fans and critics alike...

Trinkets Could Return For a Second Season, but It Would Have to Make Some Changes

Netflix's a new teen drama Trinkets is already generating buzz, and we don't even know yet if we'll get a second season. Netflix, known for cranking out original content, released the show, which follows a trio of teen girls who go through the usual struggles of being, well, teen girls - but with a twist: they're all serial shoplifters, who meet in a support group for kleptomania and instead start teaming up to continue stealing. The first season, available for streaming now, consists of 10 episodes of just under 30 minutes each.

Whether or not there will be a season two is still up in the air, and probably will be for a little while. Trinkets is based on a novel, published in 2013 by Kirsten Smith (who you know as the screenwriter behind classic comedies like 10 Things I Hate About You and Legally Blonde). It's a standalone novel, not an ongoing series,

TV Long View: How Cable's Top Shows Stack Up — or Don't — vs. Broadcast

TV Long View: How Cable's Top Shows Stack Up — or Don't — vs. Broadcast
The final season of Game of Thrones was, in just about every way of looking at it, one of the biggest shows on TV in the 2018-19 season.

HBO has touted the massive all-in audience figures for the series — 44 million viewers (and presumably still rising) including all on-air showings, delayed viewing and streaming. That figure dwarfs every other show on TV — as far as anyone knows, at least. Networks and cable outlets don't regularly release cumulative numbers that include longer-tail figures like streaming. That 44 million figure, for instance, includes several weeks of streaming for the ...

Rami Malek's Freddie Mercury Almost Shared a Scene With Taron Egerton in Rocketman

The comparisons drawn between Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody were inevitable, given how closely the pair of high-profile biopics were released. And, to be fair, there are a lot of similarities between the films, which follow the evolutions of Elton John and Queen's Freddie Mercury - they both feature tons of legendary hit songs, dive into the darker side of stardom, and explore the sexuality of both musical icons (though one accomplishes the latter far better than the other). On top of all that, Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher also had a hand in directing Bohemian Rhapsody after Bryan Singer dropped out, and he had yet another way of connecting the two films in the works.

Not only do each of the films take place during a similar span of time in the '70s and '80s, but they also prominently feature the real-life character of John Reid, who served as

MTV Movie and TV Awards predictions 2019: Complete odds in all categories led by ‘Avengers,’ ‘Riverdale’ and more

MTV Movie and TV Awards predictions 2019: Complete odds in all categories led by ‘Avengers,’ ‘Riverdale’ and more
Avengers: Endgame” is tied as the most nominated film at the MTV Movie and TV Awards with four bids, and we think it’ll win all of them when the awards air on June 17: Best Movie, Best Hero (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Villain (Josh Brolin) and Best Fight (Captain America vs. Thanos). That’s according to the combined predictions of hundreds of Gold Derby users who have given us their forecasts here in our predictions center. Do you agree that the Marvel blockbuster will achieve a clean sweep?

These awards are decided by MTV fans voting online, so popularity counts for a lot, and it’s hard to get more popular than “Endgame,” which is the second-biggest moneymaker of all time domestically not accounting for inflation ($826 million), and the second-biggest worldwide too ($2.73 billion). In the last 13 years no movie has won without grossing at least $100 million at the domestic box office,

Were Dark Phoenix Deaths Spoiled by Deadpool 2 a Year Ago?

Were Dark Phoenix Deaths Spoiled by Deadpool 2 a Year Ago?
As it turns out, Deadpool 2 may have revealed some of the biggest plot points in Dark Phoenix last year, long before the movie ever hit theaters. The latest X-Men movie is set to be the final of this particular version, as Disney completed their merger with Fox in March, which means the mutants will, eventually, be folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, for better or worse, this is the finale of a series that has been going for nearly two decades. And Deadpool 2 might have given away the fates of two characters, all thanks to a cameo.

Warning: major spoilers ahead for Dark Phoenix. Those who haven't seen the movie and don't want to have it spoiled should turn back now. That said, Deadpool 2 contained a surprising and hilarious cameo from the core X-Men cast, with a couple of notable exceptions. Those exceptions being Sophie Turner

We're Thinking Out Loud About How Impressive Ed Sheeran's Net Worth Is

It's easy to forget that Ed Sheeran has only been on the music scene for less than a decade, given how ubiquitous his music and presence are. Season 3’s epic, nearly 11-minute, single-take prison riot right scene is not eligible for Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie because — get this — it is too long.

Yep, per Emmy rules (shown below), stunt coordinators can submit a reel no more than three minutes in length. “The TV Academy would only allow a three minute clip, so, unfortunately, that epic oner was not eligible to be shown for stunts consideration,
