Trivia

McKay wants to give Sheppard a condensed description of what's going on and says "I'll give you the Cole's Notes," which he later corrects to "Cliff's Notes" for Sheppard's benefit. Cole's Notes are the Canadian version of Cliff's Notes. See more »

Goofs

Atlantis is seen drifting through space with the city perpendicular to the direction of motion, however, the star drive propels the city from the bottom, and therefore should be seen moving parallel to the line of motion since the drive failed and there was no mention (let alone power or reason) to change the city's orientation after it had fallen out of hyper space. Quotes

Lt. Colonel John Sheppard: [responding to Rodney's watered-down explanation of the city's power situation] You dumb this down any more, you're gonna get hit.

Gripping start to the fourth season
22 October 2007 | by DVD_ConnoisseurSee all my reviews

At the beginning of the fourth season of "Stargate: Atlantis", there is the threat of death in the air for everybody on-board Atlantis as it floats through the emptiness of deep space. On a personal level, Torri Higginson's Elizabeth Weir faces a potentially unpleasant end due to the injuries sustained during the replicator energy blast. Is this curtains for Weir? As always, the cast of "Atlantis" are excellent and "Stargate SG-1" fans will be pleased to see Amanda Tapping appearing in the opening credits. How Carter will become a permanent member of the cast remains to be seen but it's genuinely pleasing to see Tapping continue playing her character on a regular basis.

"Adrift" finishes on an exciting cliffhanger and scores, for me, 8 out of 10. There's definitely still life in this series and it's good to see it back on the box.
