With the big football game coming up and Central High doomed to lose, Dobie, Maynard and their friends plot to steal Webster High's mascot, a goat which Webster players traditionally pet for good luck just before games.
The annual football game between Central High and Webster High is approaching. Webster has easily won in the last fifteen meetings, with the outcome of this year's game headed in the same direction. Central plays well against other teams, but for whatever reason Webster has Central's number. Dobie believes a lot has to do with the good luck superstition that Webster has of each player patting the head of their mascot, a goat, before the game. Steal their good luck charm, and Webster has lost their edge. Without telling anyone, Dobie, Maynard and Randy set off on a mission to steal the highly protected goat despite the risks if they are caught. Stealing the goat is one issue - hiding the goat until after the game, and keeping it a secret are entirely different and problematic matters, the latter especially so as the whole school is buzzing about the theft, with valued rewards to the culprit(s). Meanwhile, the Webster boys have plans of their own to retrieve their prized possession.Written by
