Storyline

Jesse and Walt clean up the mess caused by Jesse's chosen method to get rid of Emilio's body. Walt still has has the dilemma of what to do with Krazy 8 who is still chained in the basement and seemingly getting better. He draws up a list of the pros and cons of killing him but actually ends up developing a rapport with him and tells him of his lung cancer. He soon realizes exactly what Krazy 8 is up to. Jess is smoking more meth than he's selling. Walt's wife Skyler is concerned that his admitted marijuana use is the cause of his recent personality change. She broaches the subject with her sister who jumps to the conclusion that it's Walt Jr. who is on grass and she gets her husband Hank, a DEA agent, to have a chat with the young man. Goofs

Marie tells Hank that Skyler "inferred" that Walter Jr. was smoking marijuana. That's the wrong word: Skyler implied it; Marie herself inferred it from what Skyler had said. This is a common error. See more »

Quotes

Walter White: You told him my name.
Jesse Pinkman: Oh, says who, him?
Walter White: [roughly grabbing him] My name, where I work. You told him about my son!
Jesse Pinkman: Hey, don't touch me!
Walter White: [grabbing Jesse's stash] Damn junkie.
Jesse Pinkman: No, give me that. That's mine.
Walter White: This is going down the toilet. Watch it go.
Jesse Pinkman: [sitting down on the seat] No, no! That's worth 40 grand, you stupid shit.
Walter White: It's worth nothing when you smoke it all!

More Awesomeness!
13 August 2013 | by g-bodylSee all my reviews

The third episode of Season 1 is just as good and perhaps a bit more dramatic than the two previous episodes. This episode is really the first time we see Walt reach his breaking point and it's a dandy to watch. The acting is good as ever and I'm glad we get to see Hank, the DEA agent again because I like he brings some over-the-top acting to his character.

This episode, "...And the Bag's in the River" has Walt deciding on whether or not he should kill his prisoner, Krazy 8. Meanwhile, it's believed that Walt Jr has been on pot, so Hank is asked to have a little chat with him.

Overall, this is an excellent episode that continues the high quality this series is bringing to television. It's more intense and there is a shocking twist. I am now officially addicted to the series. I rate this episode 9/10.
