The sultry Summer show (try saying that three times fast!) throws a group of single well-waxed individuals into a villa in Fiji, where they're then paired up, compete in challenges, and may be sent packing at any given moment. But, who's helping call the shots here? Host Arielle Vandenberg - a name you'll be hearing a whole lot more of this Summer.

So, who is Arielle Vandenberg? While some claim she's a dead-ringer for Love Island UK host Caroline Flack, there is, of course, much more to know about Vandenberg than the features she shares with her English counterpart. Here's a very quick rundown on the woman guiding our islanders through the many highs and lows of this Summer's Love Island on CBS.

  • Popsugar
Good news, everyone - Netflix has gifted us with a new obsession (as if we didn't have enough already), and we have a feeling that this one's really going to steal your attention. Trinkets, based on 2013 novel by Kirsten Smith, revolves around three very different sticky-fingered teens whose paths cross in a Shoplifters Anonymous meeting, and as little as they have in common, the one thing they do share brings them together in unexpected ways. And of course there's also plenty of the requisite high school drama and heartbreak in between.

Just like Netflix's über-popular teen-centric series 13 Reasons Why, the source material for this new show also came from a Ya novel of the same name. Trinkets the novel was written by Hollywood screenwriter Smith, who cowrote an impressive range of popular girl-power movies, including Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, The House Bunny, She's the Man, and The Ugly Truth.

Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull Embrace Imperfection With ‘UglyDolls’
Kelly Clarkson and Pitbull both signed on to “UglyDolls” for the same reason: the film’s endearing message about what it means to be different.

The two artists took the stage during Stx Films’ presentation at CinemaCon, the annual exhibition trade show taking place in Las Vegas. “UglyDolls,” the studio’s first foray into animation, takes place in the town of Uglyville, where colorful sock puppets yearn for the day they meet their perfect human match. The band of dolls, led by Clarkson’s Moxy, gets intimidated after soon discovering Perfection, a town with more conventionally appealing dolls (think Barbie).

“UglyDolls” highlights the importance of acceptance, an especially timely message given the culture surrounding social media.

“These days, you have to take the perfect picture, you have to look a certain way. It’s all about followers and likes instead of leaders and being unique,” said Pitbull, who noted his character,

Kelly Clarkson Gets Pink With ‘Broken & Beautiful,’ Lead Anthem From ‘UglyDolls’
Kelly Clarkson already made a visit to a veritable island of misfit toys when she voiced the lead voice in the upcoming animated film “UglyDolls.” Now she’s going beyond the valley of the dolls and standing up for human girl power with “Broken & Beautiful,” the lead song from the soundtrack, which has no less feminist an icon than Pink lending her identifiable stamp as one of the tune’s co-writers.

The songwriting credit on the anthem is really a list of all-stars — besides Pink as contributor, there’s Marshmello, one of the Edm/pop crossover artists of the moment, as co-producer/writer, and the writing team of Johnny McDaid and Steve Mac, responsible for one of the biggest hits of the century, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” on board as writers as well.

In most ways, the tune seems aimed at inspiring a young target audience for “UglyDolls,

Katherine Heigl Previews 'Shady' Suits Role, Rubbing Harvey the Wrong Way
You could call Katherine Heigl a Suits fangirl. In fact, the Grey’s Anatomy vet was such a huge lover of the USA Network drama, she sought out creator Aaron Korsh to collaborate on a different project, but eventually wound up with a series-regular gig on Season 8.

For Heigl, Suits‘ appeal lies in the “fearless” quality of its characters. “They’re really just confident and comfortable in their own skin,” she tells TVLine. “They have flaws, and they have insecurities, for sure, but they’re not afraid to push boundaries. They’re not afraid to push back.”
