Storyline

Stacy makes the best bid for a home theater sound system and gets the chance to win $10,000 on the 1/2 Off game. Justen's bid for a woven rug gets him on stage to play Flip Flop for a trip to France. Christie, from Orange County, gives the closest price for a dinette set; she gets to play Let 'em Roll for a Ford Focus S. Megan, from Maryland, bids best for a washer and dryer, and plays for a motor-scooter, a day bed and a guitar. Mallory, from Cal State, Northridge, bids best for a high-definition VCR and gets to play Cover Up for a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The best bid for Oneida flatware? Ruben, who had been trying since the start of the show, gets the exact price. He plays Pick-A-Number for a hot tub. (Ruben wants to know if the pretty model comes with it.) The Showcase Showdown features lazy models, who file their fingernails and read Feeder's Digest, instead of presenting the prizes. Written by J. Spurlin
