Irish actor Cillian Murphy is in talks to join John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” sequel along with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe.

Krasinski also wrote the screenplay with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck, and the trio received a Writers Guild nomination in the original category. Paramount announced in August that it had dated the sequel to “A Quiet Place” for May 15, 2020.

Krasinski directed and starred in the story of an isolated family of four that must live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound. He’s been working on the script for the sequel with Woods and Beck and announced last month that he was directing.

Warner Bros Exercises Matching Rights To Win RatPac Dune Library: $290M-$300M

  • Deadline
Exclusive: Warner Bros has just swooped in and exercised its right to match the winning bid. It has bought the RatPac Dune Library that consists of 15-25% of 76 big ticket films that the studio co-financed with the help of RatPac Dune through its slate deal, sources confirm. Deadline revealed late last year that Vine Alternative Investments, which last year bought a controlling interest in Village Roadshow and acquired the Manchester Film Library, had all but agreed to a deal in the $290 million to $300 million range. The one caveat was that Warner Bros reserved the right to match. It isn’t going to make Vine happy, but they and other suitors essentially established the bar and Warner Bros met it. The library was expected to fetch about $250 million when the auction started in November, brokered by financial advisor Alan Mnuchin of Agm Partners. He is the brother of Steven Mnuchin, the

Well, Terry Gilliam Has Lost The Rights To The Man Who Killed Don Quixote

Terry Gilliam's long-time passion project, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, really must be a cursed film! The director has been trying to get this film made for decades! Things looked bright for him and the project when he actually completed production on it with Adam Driver and it ended up premiering at the Cannes Film Festival.

Well, things just took another crazy turn as Gilliam just lost the rights to his film! Screen Rant reports that the Paris Court of Appeal just ruled in favor of the film’s former producer, Paulo Brancho, who sued for rights to the project on the grounds that Gilliam made the film illegally. Wow! I didn't see that coming!

According to Branco and his production company Alfama, Gilliam and his team didn't hold the rights to make the film. Screen Daily quotes Branco as saying:

"The film belongs in its entirety to

Blu-ray Review: Prognosis for The Cured is Bleak

Released at festivals in 2017 as The Third Wave, David Freyne's first narrative feature (now released as The Cured) nabbed not just Ellen Page, who loved the script enough to sign on as both actor and producer, but terrific Irish actors Sam Keeley (In the Heart of the Sea) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Peaky Blinders), as well. The film also sports a cool score, excellent cinematographry, and an interesting take on the tired zombie genre. You would think that all of the above would make The Cured a smash hit, but then you'd be wrong (or just have a differing opinion). There are so many elements of the film that alone, are great, but together, they simply don't gel, which is confusing. Is it...

Poster For Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote and Gilliam Expresses His Hate For Superhero Films

We have no idea when we will get to see Terry Gilliam's long-awaited The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, but today we have a new international Catalan poster to share with you for the film.

I also included some recent comments made by Gilliam expressing his hatred for superhero films, calling them bullshit. During a recent interview, the filmmaker said:

"I hate superheroes. It’s bullshitt. Come on, grow up! We’re not going to be teenagers for the rest of our lives.""It’s great to dream of great powers. Superheroes are all about power. That’s what I don’t like about superheroes. They’ve gotta beat the other powerful superheroes. Come on, a bit of peace, love, and understanding is what we need."

It's funny that he's saying this because this is coming from the guy who tried to direct Watchmen at one point in his career.
