Quotes

[in a flashback sequence, Peg has just given birth to her first child]
Peg Riley: My husband - can I see him?
Dr. Beamish: Not now, I'm afraid. I just gave him a sedative. He's resting. Don't you worry about him; we'll pull him through. I've never lost a father yet!

She's having a baby
7 June 2014 | by mitchrmpSee all my reviews

As a young man from work announces to the Riley's and Gillis' that his wife is expecting a baby, Riley announces that he remembers their first birth and it was a piece of cake. Then Peg sends him on an errand and tells the real story.

They were young and poor living in a small apartment when she found out about the baby, and announcing it only caused about six months of worry. When it was finally time to have her baby, things got even more nerve- racking for the expectant father.

I like flashback episodes. How was it then compared to now? And of course Riley's hangups both before and during the birth make this episode even more comical!
