Just after Deadpool's first appearance, the scene cuts to a helicopter landing. As the man is walking away from the helicopter towards Francis/Ajax, you can hear the rotors still spinning and starting to slow down, but you can see that they have almost stopped. (The tail rotor is spinning, but wouldn't make the "whop-whop" sound of the main rotor.)
Ajax's (Francis's) superpowers are stated to be enhanced reflexes and an inability to perceive pain. However, he is shown having a healing ability far above human normal, a measure of superhuman strength and a degree of invulnerability that allows him to survive not only a high speed motorcycle crash and the destruction of the lab where Deadpool was created, but also the collapse of the Heli-carrier near the film's end.
His abilities would have made him more than a match for Deadpool, whose healing factor is his only superhuman ability. Yet Francis loses two of the three encounters he has with him.
When Blind Al is putting together the Kullen, she says "Screw, please" to which Wade Wilson sarcastically replies with "Here? Now? Just kidding. I know it's been decades." However she proclaims the Kullen to be finished having never received the tool that she asked for and there was no time for Wade to have given it to her.
In an early scene in which Deadpool escapes from Colossus, he has neither sword on his back as he falls into an open-bed truck. He later emerges from the truck and now has both swords in place. Then after another flashback, the swords are gone again.
The pose that Wade and Vanessa do when they take their selfie is different from what the picture shows later in the movie. When the the picture is taken, Wade is smiling but not showing teeth, Vanessa's hands are on Wade's ears, and she has the ring pop on her left ring finger. When the picture is shown later, Wade is smiling with a lot of teeth showing, Vanessa's hands are on his face and not his ears, and the ring pop is nowhere to be seen.
In the scene near the end where Ajax has a knife in the side of Deadpool's head and is punching him, later Deadpool pulls the knife out. In a follow up shot there is no hole in the mask where the knife was, but in a later shot the hole is there.
When Vanessa takes the second (paper) mask off of Deadpool's face, a staple is still stuck in his chin. First it's dangling with one prong in. The next shot shows it lying flat then by the next shot it's dangling by a single prong again.
In the bridge fight scene where Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead appear, Deadpool tries to escape Colossus' handcuffs by severing his hand. The hand that he cuts off is his left, but when he jumps off the bridge the severed arm is on his right side.
When Deadpool stops Ajax's motorcycle two clearly large pieces of debris slide almost right up against Ajax's body and yet within a few seconds of Deadpool coming up to him the debris are no where in view.
In one scene where Deadpool fast forwards too far, you can see him masturbating holding a Unicorn in his left hand. This scene is supposed to take place after coming home to Al and before taking the percoset. and telling Al his hand was the size of a KFC spork. It was his LEFT hand that was tiny. Thus the full-sized left hand holding the unicorn was a continuity error.
After Deadpool upends Francis from the motorcycle, He is about to kick him in the head. He says something about "Wade Wilson from Regina Saskatchewan" but later when he raises his mask Francis is surprised that it is Wade Wilson.
In the freeze frame scene at the beginning of the film, the drawing is of Deadpool cutting off Francis' head with a speech balloon saying "Hi I'm Deadpool". In the actual drawing Deadpool is making before jumping onto the SUV's, he is drawing Francis speaking, and not himself.
There is a moment where Wade and Vanessa, both in red sweaters, are in bed, and Wade is sitting up and speaking to her as she is lying own. Vanessa, who is barefoot, plants her right foot on Wade's chest; in the next scene, it is her left foot that is on Wade's chest.
When Wade proposes to Vanessa, he does so with a Ring Pop ring lollipop. Later on, when Ajax and Angel Dust go to Sister Margaret's looking for Wade, the picture of them that is on the beer cooler behind Weasel has Vanessa in a regular ring.
When wade Wilson says "cheers" and clink his shot with Weasel we see another shot with a left handed person. In the next scene Weasel is drinking beer with a big glass holding with right hand. Also there are no shots on the bar desk.
Just before Wade proposes to Vanessa at Christmas, while she is lying on the bed, she raises her right leg and puts her right foot against Wade's chest. In the next scene, her left leg is now raised and her left foot is against his chest.
Right after the flipping SUV settles on its side, the first car comes to a stop parallel to the SUV and sits almost dead middle of the expressway. When the bad guys approach the SUV, the first car is now over to the side and is no longer parallel to the SUV.
When the glass chamber holding Vanessa falls off the deck at the end it falls top first, but when the concrete block is lifted off, not only is it the right way up, but it is also at a right angle to the way it fell, with no glass broken.
When Vanessa takes off Wade's mask at the end of the movie, he has a picture of Hugh Jackman's face stapled to his. When Vanessa removes the picture, the staple on Wade's chin is affixed and horizontal. In the next shot, it's hanging down. The third time we see it, it's back to position 1.
After Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead leave the manor to go find Deadpool, the scene cuts back to the bridge where several gunmen are shown exiting cars and begin approaching Deadpool. In one of the shots during this, a gunman is shown exiting the seat of a car, with the camera placed behind him. In the shot, the reflection of a camera, cameraman and boom mic are perfectly visible in the side wing mirror.
Ajax tried to torture Wilson by lowering 'the oxygen concentration in the air to the exact point you feel like you're suffocating.' In fact, it is not a low oxygen concentration in the air that makes you feel that way but a high carbon dioxide concentration in your blood. For example, if you suffocate on an inert gas like helium or argon, you do not get the usual urge to breathe and you don't feel any suffocation, even though you might die if you do it for too long.
At the end, when Vanessa is thrown off the helicarrier, it's easily 200 foot down for her. Even if the tube is strong enough to survive that and all the debris falling on top of it, she's not strapped in, meaning she would smack every which way and probably break every bone in her body.
After Wade's transformation, during the fight scene with Francis, he is impaled through the chest with a steel bar. After the building completely burns down and he rises from the ashes, the steel bar is no longer there. A building fire never gets hot enough to melt steel.
When Deadpool is starved of oxygen, then causes an explosion, it is implied that the excess of oxygen, coupled with a heat source (match), causes the chain reaction which blows up the oxygen tanks. However, for a chain reaction to occur, fuel is also needed. Combustion is an oxidation of fuel. The only fuel present which is hot enough is the match. The hoses/ pipes and the tanks would not be flammable.
In the first fight scene on the bridge where the last of Ajax/Francis' henchmen gets up and plucks the bullet from his forehead and tosses it on the ground, the sound is that of an empty brass casing and not of a lead bullet (jacketed or otherwise).
When Deadpool throws his sword to disable Francis' motorcycle, you can see that he throws a sword with a slightly curved blade (similar to a Japanese katana), but both of the swords he carries on his back are straight-bladed (chokuto).
The Desrt Eagle .50AE fires a round potent enough to pierce multiple cinder blocks from as far as 50-100 yards away. When Deadpool shoots the three gunmen lined up facing him, the round would have had no problems piercing the final man's skull as easily as it did the first one.
Even if it had simply lodged in the man's skull as shown in the film, it would have caused a skull fracture that would have been fatal to that individual, without the round penetrating his brain.
In the final scene, with the helicarrier resting at an angle to the ground, smoke from several fires is seen rising rising vertically from the perspective of the angled deck, instead of vertically from the perspective of the ground.
Deadpool claims to only have 12 rounds in his guns. The 50AE Desert Eagle each holds 7 rounds in the magazine, not 6. Even if he had not chambered a round in each gun (he carries two), he would have 14 rounds, not 12.
When Angel Dust finds the photograph of Wade and Vanessa she says "I've seen this woman before" even though they never interact or are seen together in the film. It's very likely that this is how Ajax knew to find her at the strip club as Angel Dust had seen her working there previously.
When the X-Men's "X Jet" makes an appearance, it is the 1960s version that resembles an SR-71 Blackbird, not the modern iteration. The film is set in modern times and should not use this version of the Jet. This is, however, due to licensing law issues. Marvel Studios/Disney own the rights to the modern "X Jet" concept.
Careless Whisper is by George Michael as a solo artist and not by Wham, a band he was formerly a member of. In Canada, it is credited to "Wham! featuring George Michael" and is included on the Wham! album "Make it Big."
When Deadpool is escaping from the suffocation chamber, he lights a match which ignites the oxygen tube which blows the tank up, thus releasing him. Oxygen alone is not flammable, so without a fuel source this might not have worked. However, given the dilapidated state of the facilities it can be assumed that the tubes were fouled with for instance oil or grease, which would cause a violent reaction like that in a tube filled with pure oxygen.
While in the mansion eating breakfast, Colossus is in armored form. He can not eat nor does he need to eat in this form, why we never see him unarmored is probably due to the same reason we only ever see two X-men, a "budget thing".
Deadpool repeatedly asks various people if they know where "Francis" is, with comparatively little success. He would have had much better luck if he asked for "Ajax", the name "Francis" seems to prefer. However, Deadpool is very stubborn. Then again, for much of the movie, the viewer is seeing the world through Deadpool's idiosyncratic perspective so in reality, he might have *actually* been asking for "Ajax" but in recounting the events to the viewer, he *says* he asked for "Francis".
When Wade is in the apartment dealing with the pizza delivery guy/stalker and pulls his pistol the safety on the pistol is on. Wade is only there to scare the kid. Pointing a gun at someone with no intention to shoot them and keeping the safety on is the proper way to hold a gun.
An airplane in the scrapyard has a Canadian tail number for a scene that's presumably set in the United States. Which is a nod to his Canadian heritage - a fact that he flaunts in the comics - he even mentions it earlier in the film when he punches Colossus and breaks his hand.
During the highway battle Deadpool mentions he has only twelve rounds for his Desert Eagle handguns. The Desert Eagle XIX which Deadpool carries (evidenced by the '50 AE' stamped on the fired shell casings) has a magazine capacity of seven rounds plus one in the chamber. Deadpool should have had at least two more bullets. However, as can be seen earlier (when he is counting bullets in the taxi) one of his pistols only had four bullets in it, for reasons that are never explained.
For the most part of the movie, Francis behaves like not feeling any pain equaled invulnerable. The injuries he suffers during the plot (like the motorcycle crash, or the blade stabbed in this leg, not to mention the container hitting him) should have a serious effect on his mobility even if he can't feel them happening.
Despite multiple rounds of gunfire and explosions which lead to the collapse of a of a salvage Heli-carrier, neither the police nor any fire department units are ever shown at the scene of the last battle in the film. This is despite this battle clearly taking place next to a bridge along a major highway.
After finding the picture of Wade and Vanessa, Angel Dust mentions that she has seen Vanessa before. However, the two had no previous interaction at this point of the movie, nor did Angel Dust see any photos of her.
The film's apparent setting was in Vancouver, BC Canada. Given that the X-Men's headquarters is located in Westchester County about an hour from New York City and nearly 3,000 miles away how a costumed Deadpool got to NY State and how and where the X-Men landed their Blackbird aircraft during their trips out there are never explained.
When the taxicab is rear-ended, the cab is obviously CG. The taxi is much smaller than the car that rear-ended it. The cab is a Ford Crown Vic, the other car is Subaru Justy which is shown to be just as big, if not bigger, than the Crown Vic. The second-gen Crown Vic is 17 feet long. The Subaru Justy is 12 feet long. The taxi appears to be smaller than the Justy in the shot and is very small compared to the forklift in the same shot.
When Deadpool raises the guy with the two swords through his body the sword in his left hand is at the corner of his body. After a while when the scene comes back the sword is in the middle of his body, right beside the sword in Deadpool's right hand.
When Wade begins his mutation in the oxygen torture chamber, his skin starts getting scarred. We see his face getting scarred and all the hair disappears from his head. However, no hair is seen on his headrest in later shots.
When Deadpool is stabbed in the head, he removes the knife and it leaves a bloody mark and hole on the right side of his head. In the next fight scene, the mask is fully repaired and has no blood. The blood then reappears for the final scenes of the film.
Throughout the movie you see Deadpool's final mask is stitched leather and one piece, as evident by the few times he pulls his mask on and off. In the final scene when he is talking to Vanessa, right before she pulls off the mask you can see the large Velcro opening she uses, unlike any other time when you see the back.
About an 1:30 into the film, following Deadpool removing the knife from the right side of his head (and following Negasonic saving Colossus from being choked) Deadpool's mask has no knife wound in it a critical progressive shot. Also, later, Francis/Ajax presses his head against Deadpool's pistol in a closeup (to be executed), but when Colossus stops him (offscreen), there's a sudden distance between the gun and Francis's head in the wide shot.
Near the end, during his battle with Ajax, Ajax says, "i hear you grow back body parts". Although he is, Ajax was not present when Deadpool cut his hand off, and didn't see him again until after it grew back. however, earlier in the highway fight scene, the biker with the sub-machine gun that deadpool shoots at (and misses) three times, was, in fact, Francis.
Deadpool takes out a gun from behind him to kill Ajax although he previously had stored all of his firearms in his "ammo bag" (that he forgot in the cab). However, when Deadpool is getting guns turned over to him from the blind woman, he puts her small pistol in the back of his waistband after taking it from her boot. It was not placed in the later-forgotten bag so this is not a plot hole.
Near the end when the helicarrier explodes and topples over, Colossus is seen carrying Negasonic Teenage Warhead over one shoulder and Angel Dust over the other, however Angel Dust then disappears for the rest of the film.
At the beginning of the movie, when the SUV flips - Deadpool says "Shit. Did I leave the stove on?" a split second later, you see a guy on a motorcycle get decapitated. If you pause the movie as soon as Deadpool starts to say the line, you can clearly see the guy get decapitated twice. Once in a shot from his right, then a split second later from a front view.
