Trivia

When Bianca uses the word beguile, Kat sarcastically congratulates her on using a big word and then calls her Shakespeare. William Shakespeare wrote the play 'The Taming of the Shrew', which the 1999 movie and the T.V. show are based off of. See more »

Goofs

When Kat sees Patrick arrive at the party, she accosts him demanding to know what he wants from her. But he had not done anything to warrant this reaction. There was "speeding in a school zone" (not directed at her) and "captain intensity" outside the lunch room (he was minding his own business when she accosted him). See more »

Entertaining but not great
8 July 2009 | by MonofunkSee all my reviews

I found this pilot to be entertaining but not great. The acting mostly was awful, especially by Dana Davis. She is just too fake overall. To be honest Lindsey Shaw surprised me. I've only known her from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. The role she plays in this series isn't too different from the role she had in the Ned series but she seems to make more of it. Even tough I have to say she really doesn't meet the Julia Stiles standard set in the original "10 Things I Hate About You" movie. Overall I would say this series tries too hard to be something while actually it isn't much. It doesn't come anywhere close to the quality of the original movie because of bad casting. It's nowhere near "Greek", another ABC Family series with kinda the same feel to it.
