Storyline

May's Skitty could hardly choose a less opportune time to misbehave, when it lets itself out and draws the ire of local Slugma and Numel just as Ash and friends pass through the infamous Fiery Path. Fortunately, a local shows up to guide them past the dangers of the Path, ably using her Sentret to direct a group of Numel that is under her care. While Ash and friends enjoy her hospitality and the placid life on her Numel ranch, however, Team Rocket lurks in the background with dreams of capturing and taking advantage of the Numel's ability to create nearly limitless heat, selling them into lives of servitude.
