Trivia

In the scene on the Chinese freighter a henchman is shown with an AK47, he runs out of ammo and the gun makes a click, click, click sound. Semi-automatic firearms do not make that sound when out of ammo. They would click once then no more, since there is no expelled gas to push the bolt back and cock the firearm. Many semi-automatic pistols will lock the slide back when empty, so it is impossible to make any sound. See more »

Goofs

There's a helicopter shot at the end of the apology scene in the car. The shot has been flopped so the motion continues in the same direction as the last interior shot and the following cityscape cutaway. This makes the car appear to be driving on the wrong side of the road but the light colored shirt shows that the driver in now on the right side of the car. See more »

An Action-Packed Start
30 August 2017 | by VexzySee all my reviews

From the day his father was killed, you could see the motivation in Steve McGarrett's eyes. The interactions between characters in this pilot episode truly creates an opportunity for continuous character development throughout the show, and the action and mystery scenes, although sometimes a bit cheesy, help the whole thing along. Overall, this episode was a good start for the show.
