Trivia

A lot of scenes that fleshed out Madison were cut out. Scenes planned would've involved helping her redecorating her apartment (which looked different than in the final version). It was also planned that the newspaper she worked for was going to be a major set piece which would get multiple visits so she could do research and write her articles. It also would've established why she suffers from insomnia, which was because she had been a war corespondent. See more »

Goofs

If Ethan is arrested and interrogated by Blake, Norman has the option of interfering by shoving Blake and then punching him. Blake will then force Norman out of the room by threatening him with his gun. It is against police protocol to carry a sidearm into interrogation, for fear the suspect might get possession of it. This rule is deliberately violated by Blake to demonstrate further corruption. Other examples of disobedience committed by Blake include trespassing on a suspect's property and using excessive violence towards them. This is used to make the player consider Blake a possible suspect in the case. See more »

Alternate Versions

The PS3 Demo has an alternate tutorial starring Scott Shelby as he works his way out of his car, has a brief asthma attack, and segues into the Sleazy Hotel scene. In the full version of the game, this scene does not exist, and the Prologue level starring Ethan Mars serves as the tutorial. See more »

all around good
25 February 2010 | by chrisem511See all my reviews

I remember when I played Indigo Prophecy for the first time. I completely ignored my girlfriend(who later left me)and stayed locked in my room all weekend. The game play was unlike anything I had ever seen and I got addicted to this games unique formula. It truly was like an interactive movie. So when I first heard of IP creators new game Heavy Rain at the E3 my expectations were high. If you liked Indigo Prophecy then you'll LOVE this game. Cinematic and compelling, this game sucks you into its world and gives you a chance to truly care about its characters. Every decision you make makes you wonder if you're doing the right thing. You can pause it and think about what you wanna do, or just make decisions as they come to you like I did. I should also mention that the music in this game is fantastic. To me, a score can make or break a movie or a game. Silent Hill is one of my favorite games because of its music, and in my opinion this games music is on par with Silent Hill's. The downside is hands down the voice acting. Its completely obvious that its voice actors are not American and sound just outright odd at times. Graphics in the face are amazing but everything else is pretty normal for todays standards. Also the "walking" system seems to really take some getting used to. Over all I'd give this game a 9. Its completely unique in style and game play, and really gets your heart racing. Best part, once you've completed the game, start over and this time make different decisions and watch a brand new game unfold!!!
