Raylan and Winona's idyll is shattered by violence, as Boyd and the Bennetts struggle to rise from the ashes of chaos in Harlan. Written by FX Publicity
When I praise "Justified" for its dialogue (and I do it a lot), this is what I mean - when Raylen puts his argument with Winona on hold to address the car that's been following them:
"Hey, fellas. Uh, forgive me, I can't tell if you guys are following me or not, and I'm just a little out of sorts, to be honest with you. I shot and killed a guy just three days ago. So at this intersection here, I'm gonna go right. I want you two to go left.
. . . I go right, you go left.
If you go right then . . . I'm gonna want some answers."
Anyhoo, 'Debts and Accounts' has the Bennett family in pieces while Boyd (a man reborn, now more than ever)sets to re-establishing Crowder control over Harlan. Storywise, this moves from mournful to downright sad (Lorett's lonely existence) to renewed hope. And even throws in a tense shootout for good measure.
Yeah, I'd say the show has found its groove.
