Jon Foo played as Jin Kazama in Tekken earlier that same year. Both Street Fighter and Tekken are rival companies in fact Jin and Devil Jin are parallel to Ryu and Evil Ryu. Jon Foo and Ian Anthony Dale both appear in Tekken as Jin Kazama and Kazuya Michima respectively. Dale would later play Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion in Mortal Kombat: Legacy and Mortal Kombat: Rebirth.

Akuma's live action debut. First time Ryu was played by a British actor and a Eurasain actor. Jon Foo is half Chinese half Irish. First time Ken was played by a British actor. Joey Ansah's directorial debut and first time in a non-english speaking role and first time speakng Japanese only.

First time Street Fighter only featured British actors. Ironically Ken Masters is Eurasian yet Christian Howard is full British White where as Akuma and Ryu are full Japanese but both are portayed by mixed-raced actors: Joey Ansah being British Ghanaian/English and Jon Foo being British Chinese/Irish.

Behind the scenes, Christian Howard mentions having false eyebrows to match Ken overly bushy eyebrows in the games. When filming the fight scene, Jon Foo accidently punched one off.
