After a 200-year-old medicine jar found on an off-shore shipwreck shatters in a teenage girl's palm, she is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro for symptoms closely linked to smallpox. When the Center for Disease Control's Dr. Dave Broda institutes a lockdown on the hospital and suspends House's team's ability to diagnose, Masters grows suspicious of Broda's motives and becomes convinced that the patient is suffering from a different disease. The girl's father soon experiences similar symptoms, and House is forced to make a precarious decision that puts his own life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Wilson and Sam comfort a 6-year-old chemotherapy patient who prompts them to examine their relationship. Written by Fox Publicity

Did You Know?

Most of Broda's story about Janet Parker, the last known person to die from smallpox, is true. It is not true, however, that she died in 4 days; she likely contracted the virus on 25 July, then she fell ill on 11 August and died on 11 September. Her mother was also infected, but she survived. Dr. Gregory House: We gave it to him. Where's Chase?
Dr. Eric Foreman: You do realize we don't all live together, right?
Dr. Gregory House: Well, then just... we gave it to him. No pustules on the daughter's palms, so...
Dr. Chris Taub: So therefore, your theory is you asked me to take the dad's blood, but I accidentally injected him with smallpox.
Dr. Gregory House: Exactly, although technically, it was the vaccinia virus which is what the smallpox vaccine is made from. Same symptoms as smallpox, but only half the calories and almost none of the lethality.
Dr. Eric Foreman: You sound like one of ...

Felt Rushed... I just wasn't wet yet...
15 November 2010 | by Johnny_BearSee all my reviews

First off let me clarify. I am addicted and fully in love with this series. Now that being said I felt this episode suffered a slight misstep.

The content and plot of this episode seems to stumble as it tries to desperately pushes to much plot into its time limit. I won't reveal the plot points that are included but they felt rushed. The Dialogue between House and the team loses its cadence and the Diagnoses seems rushed. Also the drama that House's actions present seems hollow and not nearly as dramatic as should of been. This episode would of been incredible had it been a two part cliff hanger.
