Storyline

The Johnsons are an attractive, well-to-do, upper-middle class family. Sidney, husband and father, is a famous poet, known and adored for his kindness and sensitivity. Joan, wife and mother, is a dutiful housewife, an obsessive homemaker and the life of every party. Their son, Isaiah, is a charismatic young man who has just gotten married to an equally appealing young woman. In fact, there is only thing that separates the Johnsons from their charming friends and neighbors: Isaiah, the son, has been molesting Sidney, the father, since he was twelve years old. And what's more, Sidney has written a memoir that chronicles, in great detail, the ins-and-outs of this unseemly father-son relationship. Will the manuscript ever see the light of day, or will young Isaiah have a thing or two to say about it? THE STRANGE THING ABOUT THE JOHNSONS is a dark satire of the domestic melodrama, which asks "What if...?" and then, for some reason, comes up with an answer. Written by Anonymous

What's This?

Being myself a FANDOM user with an account there, I found out about this short film when I found Isaiah's article on Villains Wiki and later gave a "yes" for him being placed in the "Pure Evil" category even though I hadn't watched the film at the time simply because the contents of the page and the proposal (yeah, you need to make a proposal in order for a villain to be accepted as PE there) told me that he indeed fits the category. Shortly after the acceptance however, my curiousity got the best of me and I ended up watching it. Frankly, I was disturbed by the contents. Normally a horror film contains a serial killer or an undead creature or something else to that direction but The Strange Thing About the Johnsons is unique in that it features a dude who is in an abusive incestuous relationship with his father. I honestly don't know what to say about this film, this subject comes off as (mostly) well handled in this short film. Although I have watched it at least twice, I still don't know how to react with all this disturbing content in it.
