Storyline

Kurt Meinel returns from his Soviet POW camp to his native mining village, hating Hitler enough for wrecking Europe to support the Russian regional occupation commander Bursky, in charge of mining uranium for a project to match the US atomic bomb. Kurt is admitted to mining geology training and assigned to the mine. His father, who hates the Russian invaders, warns him about a tradition against a 'lake' hidden within the mountain. Kurt starts an affair with the general's daughter, which exposes them to terrible punishments. Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

"You have attacked an officer of the Red Army", states MGB-Major General Bursky after his subordinate was hit by Kurt Meinel. This is very unlikely, as both soviet officers were MGB personnel (MGB was predecessor of KGB) and wear MGB uniforms, too. MGB officer might have designated themselves as "Soviet officers" or so, but surely not "Red Army" officers. Not to forget: Red Army was named Soviet Army since 1946 and story is set in 1948.
