Wild Hearts tells the story of Willow (Cambrie Schroder), a strong, beautiful, independent minded young girl from Malibu who is determined to find the father she has never known. She finds Jack (Ricky Schroder), her father, a rugged cowboy, far from home in the wild Sierra Nevada Mountains. Jack, who used to run a dude ranch, now breaks and sells wild horses to make ends meet. As Jack and Willow struggle to understand each other's ways, Willow makes a connection with an untamable Mustang, Bravo which she becomes determined to set free. Grizz (Martin Kove), and his son Duke (Luke Schroder), Jack's rivals, seek to claim the beautiful mustang also. Wild Hearts is a movie filled with adventure, beauty and self-discovery.Written by

Nobody would deliberately aim at and try to shoot a horse with a girl riding it, as Grizz did. That would become attempted murder as killing the horse could also result in killing the girl if the horse fell on her. Grizz was never prosecuted for the act. See more »
The film was marred by all the protagonists wearing make-up, whether day or night. Is it really credible that our heroine would have had the time, let alone the inclination, to worry about her appearance? All she's interested in is saving that horse. Why would her father wear eye-shadow? Only if this was a comedy like 'Blazing Saddles'. I would have given this film 5 stars if it had not been demeaned by this idiotic error. Being a lover of horses I was enthralled by this film from start to finish. The filming itself was remarkable, from the air, from the ground, from close-ups to dramatic scenes of horses in huge groups, galloping in harmony and grace. I wasn't too keen on her young admirer, he seemed a bit too weak in contrast to her. If I'd know how good this film would be I'd have recorded it. Let's hope for a repeat.
