Lisa Kudrow To Star In ‘Therapy Dog’ Fox Animated Presentation
Exclusive: Lisa Kudrow is set to voice the title character in Therapy Dog, Fox’s animated presentation from writer-producer-actress Sharon Horgan, actress Clea DuVall, writer-producers Jennifer Crittenden & Gabrielle Allan and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.

Written by DuVall, Crittenden and Allan, Therapy Dog is about a dog named Honey (Kudrow), a poodle mix with frizzy hair who has studied Carl Jung and loves tummy rubs. She leads group therapy sessions with the neighborhood animals as they work through issues with their owners and one another. At the same time, Honey tries to find joy in her stagnant marriage to a St. Bernard named Chief and becomes tempted by a wild coyote with a dangerous magnetism. SNL alumna Vanessa Bayer previously was attached to voice the character.

Kudrow has voiceover experience with an arc on Netflix’s BoJack Horseman and a lead role in Fox’s animated presentation Lyle & Caroline last year.

Meryl Streep Joined Big Little Lies Without Reading the Scripts

Meryl Streep has not appeared on TV screens since Web Therapy in 2012.

Many were surprised to learn the Oscar-winning actress had joined the cast of Big Little Lies Season 2.

But Streep was so eager to join the cast of the HBO hit that she did so without reading any of the scripts.

The actress is attached to appear opposite the likes of Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Perry (Alexander Skarsgard).

Streep has opened up about why she joined the series to The Hollywood Reporter.

"[My agent] said, 'There's a part that they wrote with you in mind because they called her Mary Louise' — Mary Louise is my actual legal name," she said.

"I said, 'Yeah, I'll do it.' He said, 'Don't you want to read it?' I said, 'No'.

Lisa Kudrow has signed on to star in and executive produce the comedy pilot “Good People” currently in the works at Amazon, Variety has learned.

The half-hour project hails from writers and executive producers Whitney Cummings and Lee Daniels. It centers on three generations of women working in the Ombusdmans office of a college navigate the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sex, race, class, and gender.

Kudrow will play Lynn Steele, The University Ombudsman. She is described as a tired, mercurial force of nature who finds herself being seen as out of touch by millennials, even though she has been a champion of women her entire career.

Kudrow is best known for playing Phoebe on the seminal sitcom “Friends.” She was nominated for six Emmy Awards for her role on the show,

There may be no Friends reboot or revival in the works, but NBC is bringing David Schwimmer back to its Thursday night line-up during the 2018-19 season.

The former Friends star has been added to the cast of the Emmy-winning comedy's tenth season.

Schwimmer will play a new love interest for Grace, but that's all the peacock network has revealed thus far about the new addition.

It's certainly a good idea to bring Schwimmer back to the network, and we can't wait to see what funny scenarios the new character he's playing finds himself in.

Cast announced for Stephen Mangan’s Channel 4 comedy series Hang Ups

Channel 4 has announced details of the cast for Stephen Mangan’s Hang Ups, an adaptation of Lisa Kudrow’s Emmy-nominated Web Therapy, which it set to ““present a hilarious and outrageous catalogue of neuroses, phobias, issues, anxieties and psychopathies” and sees Mangan taking on the role of Dr. Richard Pitt as he offers his weekly quickfire webcam therapy sessions.

Set to feature alongside Mangan in the comedy series are David Tennant (Broadchurch), Jessica Hynes (Spaced), Katherine Parkinson (The It Crowd), Monica Dolan (W1A), Celia Imrie (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) and Game of Thrones alumni Conleth Hill, Charles Dance, Richard E. Grant, and Harry Lloyd.

Hang Ups is being written by Mangan and Robert Delamere; the half-hour comedy series will consist of six episodes, and is set to air on Channel 4 in 2018.
