Storyline

Klaus takes Stefan to Chicago, where he wants to resuscitate his sister Rebekah, who might hold the key to breaking the curse. Gradually, Stefan is reminded of his Prohibition period affair with her her while still bloodthirsty himself, and its tragic end. Tyler is rightly worried, turning for an ally to her mother sheriff Forbes, about the whereabouts of Caroline, whose bully father Bill actually holds her in a dungeon for 'vampire aversion therapy' of the most flagrant kind. Katherine puts Damon on feared Klaus's trail, so he can mount a rescue with Elena after putting her in her place. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Damon Salvatore: Sure hope we find him. It would suck if the last memento of Stefan was that crappy old necklace.
Elena Gilbert: [stroking necklace] It's antique, Damon. Like you.

Still very poor acting, in 1 word flat.

The show is just mildly interesting enough to keep following it (purely due to the general storyline). But to be honest most of the episodes will just be running in the background, not really paying that much attention to it.

Nina Dobrev, what were they thinking casting this bubble head. She sounds as lame in the series as she does in real life. Her constant nagging tone that makes it even more obvious how bad the script is. She constantly sounds like she has to read something that bores the crap out of her. And worst of all there is absolutely no hint to Nina Dobrev getting any better at her job.

The same can be said for Paul Wesley (the guy with 2 first names :P) although it fits a little better to his role. But that doesn't make it any less boring and flat.

The rest of the cast does a much better job although the bad script goes for everyone.
