Four friends who live in Manhattan run into strange things - anomalies - everywhere they go. Prime among them is a man in a business suit carrying a brand new shovel in midtown that one of the friends has seen. Why is a businessman carrying a new shovel in midtown? And why does George's blind date dress like a nun even though she isn't one? And is the tall blonde woman who is dancing at Jerry's high school reunion really the soap opera star who Elaine thinks she is? And what does the coffee shop waitress mean by "grat-TED" when she shakes the cheese grater at Elaine? And why were the babies in a carriage in the missionary position? And why do identical twins and triplets work in the copy shop? And why do the copy shop employees and even one customer repeat everything that others say? Some of these questions are answered, and some are not.
