Filmmaker Jonathan Morgan is too old for the lead role in this sci-fi rom-com, so he unwisely cast Dane Cross, and lets him overact consistently and irritatingly, in a vain effort to generate some yocks. It ruins an otherwise standard Alektra Blue vehicle for Wicked Pictures, which Morgan could certainly have saved by taking the role himself a decade or two earlier.
The two stars are cast as nerdy scientists, workin on an okay (especially for porn) fitted out lab set, creating robots of a humanoid nature, all the better to have sex with. Morgan has fun with a black & white parody of "Bride of Frankenstein", a fantasy sequence featuring Alektra with the famous Elsa Lanchester hairdo.
The rom-com cliches come fast and furious, with Samantha Saint stunning as a sexy robot named Candy 3000, plus Nicole Aniston as Alektra's friend. Lesbian icon Heather Starlet is featured having Sapphic sex with Sheena Shaw as part of their threesome with Ryan McLane.
It's lightweight fluff, but a chore to sit through thanks to the terrible, relentless performance by Dane Cross.
