Chloë Grace Moretz Says Her Max Landis Film Has Been Rewritten: ‘We’ve Distanced Ourselves From Him’
Chloë Grace Moretz has been outspoken when it comes to supporting the #MeToo and Time’s Up anti-harassment campaigns, which led many fans to question her decision to sign on for the upcoming film “Shadow in the Cloud.” The World War II horror movie is written by Max Landis, who has been accused of sexual misconduct. The project was announced at the end of January 2019 with Moretz in the leading role and Roseanne Liang (“My Wedding and Other Secrets”) on board to direct.

In a new interview with The Guardian to mark the U.K. release of “Greta,” Moretz assured fans the project has moved far away from Landis, following the accusations made against him. Although Landis might still have his name on the project, Moretz said “we’ve completely distanced ourselves from him. We’ve rewritten it several times now. His name is kind of far away from the project.

‘Brockmire’ Ep Says No Comedy Is Off Limits When Directed At “Stupid Incompetent People In Power” – AMC Networks Summit
It was bound to be a freewheeling discussion about comedy on television in the #MeToo era at the AMC Networks Summit when moderator Jill Kargman, creator and star of the Bravo series Odd Mom Out, began asking stars, writers and showrunners about the challenges of being funny in the “political hellscape sh*t-show” we’re currently living in.

The panel, part of AMC Networks’ second annual summit event in New York, focused on the shifting limits of comedy in a redefined age of what is or isn’t appropriate, the new freedoms afforded by greater content options in the streaming era, and a defiance among diverse creators to make their own brave choices.

Tackling the “political hellscape” question, Joel Church-Cooper, executive producer of IFC’s series Brockmire, stressed the safe comedic value of “punching up. There are plenty of stupid, incompetent people in power,” he said. “Punching upwards is very safe territory.

This teaser obviously gives us our first look at Phillips' new "dark and gritty" character study of the man who would be Joker. Set in Gotham City way back in 1981, Phillips' version of Batman's ultimate super-villain starts out as the rather simple tale of a

Erin Benach (‘A Star Is Born’ costume designer) on the intimidating task of dressing style icon Lady Gaga [Exclusive Video Interview]
A Star Is Born” costume designer Erin Benach‘s focus was on creating “a character arc” for Ally (Lady Gaga), a down-on-her-luck waitress who becomes a singing sensation after she’s discovered by fading rock star Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper). Watch our exclusive video interview with Benach above.

Before she started work the veteran designer had to decide “where I wanted her to start, where I saw her at the pinnacle … and where I wanted her to end.” With that in mind, “I kept pinpointing” those ideas “in the storyline,” making sure to “hit them as far as her clothing went.”

Andy Samberg Mocks Lady Gaga's '100 People in a Room' Quote at 2019 Golden Globes

The pop star, 32, had a go-to story that she would tell reporters when talking about working with Bradley Cooper on the film, which has been nominated for four Globes. A viral compilation of the singer shows her repeatedly saying: “There can be 100 people in a room, and 99 of them don’t believe in you, but all it takes is one, and it just changes your whole life.”

How Bradley Cooper, Rami Malek and Mahershala Ali Mastered Music for the Screen

How Bradley Cooper, Rami Malek and Mahershala Ali Mastered Music for the Screen
More than a half-century ago, there was a public outcry when Marni Nixon’s singing voice was dubbed for Audrey Hepburn’s in George Cukor’s 1964 “My Fair Lady” film, in lieu of casting a powerhouse singer-actress such as Julie Andrews, the originator of the role on Broadway. These days, film and music fans have largely come to terms with musical numbers involving an unseen ringer, especially when it comes to hand-synching, still a more easily forgivable practice than vocal miming.

So it’s not surprising to learn that neither “Bohemian Rhapsody” star Rami Malek nor “Green Book” lead Mahershala Ali could play a note before tackling their roles as real-life keyboard prodigies Freddie Mercury and Dr. Don Shirley. Or that those crackling guitar riffs churned out by “A Star Is Born” auteur Bradley Cooper as grizzled rocker Jackson Maine came from the fingers and frets of Lukas Nelson, son

Boy Sees End-Of-The-World Coming in Prodigy [Trailer]

The title of writer/director Nathan Leon's feature film debut Prodigy refers to the boy at the centre of the story who is believed to have the answers to an episode of mass unconsciousness which may be the first of three events leading to the apocalypse.

The movie, however, seems to be much more focused on the boy's father Jericho ("Z Nation" star Tyler Roy Roberts) who is called upon to keep his son safe on his journey to a location which is supposed to enable him to see the other major events coming and, I figure, help save the world.

The synopsis sounded interesting but I must admit I was a bit disappointed by how much this seems to be channelling Midnight Special and, to a lesser extent, "Flashforward," but I'm hoping Leon is able to infuse someth

Jeff Nichols Says His ‘Alien Nation’ Remake Will Be “Epic”…If The Film Survives The Disney/Fox Merger

Jeff Nichols has a rare filmography for a director. Out of his first five films, he has yet to turn in a dud. Sure, films like “Mud” and “Midnight Special’ weren’t the massive hits that he might have hoped for, but looking at all five of his films, there’s no denying that each one is pretty great. That’s what makes the promise of a Jeff Nichols-directed “Alien Nation” film so interesting.

Director Jeff Nichols Offers Details on His Alien Nation Remake and Says it Will Be Epic

A couple of years ago it was announced that Jeff Nichols would write and direct a remake of the classic sci-fi crime 80s film Alien Nation. The filmmaker has been hard at work developing this film and it’s something that he’s really proud of and very excited about doing.

The original movie starred James Caan, Mandy Patinkin, and Terence Stamp. The story is set in Los Angeles in 1991, “humans live alongside extraterrestrial humanoid beings whose spaceship crash landed three years earlier. This coexistence is not always harmonious, as exemplified by segregated slums and the uneasy partnership of police detective Matthew Sykes (Caan) with new humanoid partner Sam Francisco (Patinkin). However, the pair begin to overcome their differences as they investigate a slum drug ring led by the slippery William Harcourt (Stamp).”

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen the movie, but I really enjoyed it! Nichols is
