A mostly great start to a new era of WWE games
3 February 2018 | by OlicosmicSee all my reviews

With THQ unfortunately not being around anymore, I was honestly kind of scared to see how a WWE game was going to be with it being released by 2K. And, to my surprise, this game was mostly fantastic, and a relatively big update from WWE '13, as the creation suite, roster, and game modes got massive upgrades that make this game amazing. Just the 30 years of WrestleMania mode alone is enough to buy this game. You could be asking "Why is this person praising this game even though he gave it an 8 and not a 10/9?" The answer is because, while the contents in this game are fantastic, this game is a glitched out mess that can sometimes lead to the game crashing. One example is every single time I try to create an entrance, the game completely freezes after a few minutes and I have to literally restart my PS3, which is something I was hoping would be fixed, but I guess not, and it's very maddening. There is also a very annoying glitch where logos can only get so big when you're creating an arena. Overall, this game, while it's almost amazing, just feels a bit rushed and not stable. And this is coming from someone with a clean copy of a game. Overall, this game still has a ton of good stuff that will impress many, and it's a mostly great start to a new era of WWE games, even if it is buggy.
