Source novelist Jason Matthews made his technical expertise available to screenwriter Justin Haythe throughout the movie's adaptation from the source novel. "He's a sensational writer," Haythe said of Matthews. "Many of the technical aspects of the plot come from the book. If it was something invented, Jason was there on the end of the phone for technical advice, or he read the script and gave notes, which was hugely helpful. We were lucky to have an expert at the incubation period." Producer Peter Chernin agreed: "Jason gave incredibly detailed notes and feedback on our various script drafts, mostly regarding accuracy and believability of anything relating to Nate's, Dominika's, and their respective colleagues' tactics, etc." See more »

Quotes
Dmitri Ustinov:
And what is it you want from me?
Dominika Egorova:
All I ever wanted was to be a dancer. Ever since I was a small child. And I would take the bus to rehearsal after school. And I would look out of the windows at the people going about their lives. Going to work, half asleep. And I would tell myself, I'm not like them. And I never will be. Because I'm special I want to be special again.

Alternate Versions
The UK version is cut for "strong sadistic violence" to earn a 15 certificate instead of an 18, which was done based on BBFC advice. As both countries make up the same distribution region, Ireland also received the same cut version (rated 16 for cinema and 18 on video).
The contentious scene shows Ustinov being strangled:
In the UK version, we only see a brief establishing shot where his hands are covering his throat, cutting right to a close-up of Dominika struggling but completely clean. The censored footage shows the wire cutting into Ustinov's throat for much longer, in more graphic detail after his arms hang loose, and him bleeding on Dominika's chest.
Ustinov collapsing uses an alternate shot in the UK version, and the second close-up of Dominika is digitally bloodless as with the first, but there's still blood on her chest when putting on her clothes as per the uncut version (a continuity error).
The uncut version is roughly 13 seconds longer. See more »

So I will give it a 6/10. In a world dominated by sequels, prequels and universe films at least it was none of those and had some violence and nudity.
Unfortunately the nudity was only partial and what nudity there was not adequate. It is disappointing because there are so few smart mature films with the naturalness and beauty of the human body out there. It is all Disney/Fox wimpy G rated crap out there. At least there is some action in this movie and Lawrence looks delicious. Please Hollywood do not do a sequel. It will be Pacific rim Uprising or Independence Day Resurgence or JJ Abrams Mr Rip Off crap. Sequels suck (just see all the new Marvel films)
