Wickin' Ass: The 10 Hardest-Hitting John Wick Fight Scenes, Ranked

We thought Keanu Reeves’ crowning achievement in film was The Matrix series; until he came out with John Wick, and we all realized things only got bigger and better. There have been three films to date, but John Wick’s popularity is such that a fourth film and a TV series have been commissioned to grow this universe larger.

The perfect formula created by the series was its use of neo-noir as a theme, where the fight scenes were intense and employed long shots that hardly cut away, making these sequences gritty and up close. Since all the John Wick films have this kind of hard-hitting fight scenes, we’ve compiled the 10 best. None of these are bad in any way, and they all firmly carry the theme of each individual movie as well as the series at large.

From ‘Billions’ to ‘John Wick 3,’ Asia Kate Dillon Makes Hollywood Theirs

From ‘Billions’ to ‘John Wick 3,’ Asia Kate Dillon Makes Hollywood Theirs
Who would have guessed that “Billions,” a cutthroat and hedonistic look at Wall Street hedge fund magnates and the politicians gunning for them, would deliver a groundbreaking representation of gender non-binary identities? Certainly not Asia Kate Dillon, who portrays non-binary investment wunderkind Taylor Mason on the Showtime series and also identifies as non-binary off-screen. The term “non-binary” encompasses a spectrum of gender identities that embraces fluidity, or does not acknowledge any conventions of gender at all. Typically, non-binary people reject traditional male and female pronouns like “he/him” and “she/her” in favor of pronouns like “they/them/theirs.”

They are also almost entirely invisible in mainstream content. “There’s a silver-lining aspect of ‘Billions’ being a teaching tool about gender identity that myself or my character might be a bridge toward understanding,” Dillon says. “I think understanding creates hope.”

What’s most significant about Dillon’s work over four

‘Destination Wedding’ With Keanu Reeves & Winona Ryder – Home Release Details

Check your baggage! The home release details for Destination Wedding, the Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder romantic comedy (which we rather liked) have been revealed. The film is set for digital download on 21st June, and then a DVD bow on 1st July.

Here is the official synopsis:

Fresh from their incredible successes in the John Wick films and Stranger Things respectively, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, previously seen together onscreen in Bram Stoker’s Dracula, among others, team up for a razor-sharp romantic comedy that will delight fans of these iconic, much-loved stars.

The directorial debut of Emmy-nominated writer Victor Levin, Destination Wedding sees Reeves and Ryder (in their fourth screen pairing) meeting on the way to a wedding and discovering they have plenty to talk about – mainly their hatred of weddings and each other. Squabbling and bickering ensue before they even reach the wedding when things take an unexpected turn.

New Petition Asks Marvel To Cast Keanu Reeves As The McU’s Wolverine

Keanu Reeves’ career has been on a “most excellent” upswing over the past few years. The actor, who spent most of his post-Matrix days awkwardly showing up in romantic comedies or starring in widely panned genre movies (47 Ronin anyone?), surprised everyone with the fantastic 2014 action flick John Wick. Now, just five years and two sequels later, he’s become a Hollywood darling once again, with many calling for him to join the McU or Dceu.

In a recent Interview with BuzzFeed, the actor was actually asked which Marvel or DC hero he’d want to bring to life and sure enough, he had an answer ready:

“When I was a kid, I always wanted to play Wolverine. So, Wolverine.”

Of course, the internet was totally into the idea of seeing Reeves as the iconic mutant and now, as expected, a petition has sprung up on Change.org calling for Marvel to cast him.

Randall Park on That Ali Wong Sex Scene, Keanu Reeves and His Commercial for Chinese Liver Pills
Randall Park will never forget his first paid acting gig.

How could he?

“It was on the Asian channel in L.A.,” the “Fresh Off the Boat” star recalls. “It was channel 18 and it was in Chinese, and I didn’t understand a word of it. I to this day, I don’t even know what I was selling exactly, and I’m not Chinese, but I played the father of a kid, and I come home from work, and the kid has a lot of energy, and I’m just super tired. Then I take these Chinese liver pills and then cut to me being wide awake, happy, playing with my kid all with a Mandarin voiceover. And I still don’t understand what they were saying…But I did get a lot of calls from my friends’ parents saying, ‘I saw you, you’re a huge star.’ And I was like,

Whether top gaming brands attend this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) or not, the entire industry's been busy driving fan interest in the latest releases for 2019. For many, the best place to do that is through social video -- something no brand seems to understand more than Epic Games' Fortnite.

Data from video measurement company Tubular Labs shows that the popular online title was the most-viewed gaming brand across social video platforms with nearly 103 million views of video content in May across uploads to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram. Fornite's own videos around its typical announcements - like the start of season 9 and the Fortnite World Cup -  have raked in millions of views. However, it's the crossover partnerships with non-endemic brands like Marvel's Avengers, Jumpman, and John Wick that have had some of the most success.

Fornite's Avengers: Endgame trailer has earned 23.6 million views since its release in late April,

Box-Office Weekend: Secret Life of Pets Sequel Leads Disappointing Box Office

While the top two film’s over the box-office weekend were new releases, they both proved to be disappointments, of sorts. Although the animated family film The Secret Life of Pets 2 finished on top of the box-office weekend with $47.1 million, it failed to make anywhere near what its predecessor had made during its opening weekend just a few years earlier. Elsewhere, the latest offering in the X-Men series, Dark Phoenix, opened with $33 million, which gives it the lowest opening of any film in the franchise to date (as well as it being the worst reviewed film of the series).

The live-action reinterpretation of Aladdin made $24.5 million in its third week of release to give it a total haul of $232.4 million, which was good enough to land it squarely in third place. Dropping to a disappointing fourth place was Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which managed only $15.5 million in its second week,

Does ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Does ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum’ Have a Post-Credits Scene?
It turns out that mid-budget Hollywood films still aren’t dead yet, with “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” absolutely killing it at the box office lately. The “John Wick” movies are here to stay.

John Wick: Chapter 2” back in 2017 had a very “middle chapter of a trilogy” vibe to it, with the events of the first film setting John down a dark path and ending the way all good action trilogies do — with our hero finding himself in a dire situation that he must spend the next movie trying to get out of.

But while we’re trained by decades of franchise movies to think of film series in threes — and these three movies certainly do have a trilogy structure, as I just mentioned — “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” is certainly not the end of this thing. The film ends on another cliffhanger, putting Mr. Wick in yet another dire situation

It will be Marvel's first Asian-led movie and is based on a character known as the 'master of kung-fu'.
