A newlywed couple Ted and Lauren rent an old farm house to do a thesis on orbs and set up cameras, Strange ghostly noises and hauntings occur at night. Ted sees video of Lauren, possessed and wandering the fields at night. When their roommate kills himself they decide to do a séance to see what is haunting the house. Blood and carpet is an intriguing thriller, set in the 60's; its moody powerful plot and script had me rapt to the last. The atmosphere was beautifully recreated by the skillful acting enhanced by set, costumes and the music. The characters of Ruby and Stanley, played by Annie Burkin and Frank Boyce, transported me to an age and place, the world of North London 60's, which made this a mesmeric drama. This film noir needs to have world wide distribution and the acknowledgment it deserves. This is a must see film. The excellent script, direction and editing by Director Graham Fletcher Cook and his crew are the backbone to this well worked, produced film.
