Having successfully obtained the vaccine, everyone in the temporary hospital is treated. Rachel, Charlie, Connor and Gene leave the camp. Monroe is of the view that the only way they can make any advances against the Patriots is to recruit mercenaries. Miles reluctantly agrees and Monroe, Connor and Charlie head to New Vegas where Monroe hopes hopes his contacts from his bare-knuckle fighting days will have what they need. In Washington, Tom Neville sees the President and gets an offer he can't refuse. Aaron and Priscilla arrive in Lubbock, Texas where they meet their old friend and onetime co-worker Peter Garner. He too has had his encounters with the nanos but has a different interpretation of what it all means.
Did You Know?
The population of Lubbock, TX on the sign reads WAS 229,573. This places the year of the sign circa 2009-2010, as the 2009 population was 225,859 and the 2010 population was 230,710. Since these signs are usually not changed annually, this would place the blackout around the same year the series began in 2012. Adding known information, this would make the year depicted circa 2028. See more
Miles, Monroe, and Connor make a tactical error when they fail to gank Ed and the other patriot soldiers. By leaving Ed infected, they would have been better off leaving him in a pool with laser-equipped sharks. Ed is shown shortly after this receiving the antidote. Since Monroe planned to take on the patriots, ganking as many as possible would be beneficial to his cause. See more
