Director Tom Costabile was able to recruit Sound Designer Frank Serafine in late 2014 of the "Star Trek" and "Tron" films. Frank also had theme park experience by developing the sound design for classic rides such as "Space Mountain" and "The Marvel Experience", which Costabile claims is how he wanted Hell to be; a ride. It wasn't until the cast and crew screening in May of 2016 that Costabile realized Frank's name was the same as the antagonist and her husband in the film. Serafine is the evil voodoo priestess who drives the story, and Frank is her husband's name who created the conflict that exists in the film. See more
