Trivia

(at around 9 mins) Scott's powers manifesting in a bathroom was something Bryan Singer wanted for X2 (2003), but for budgetary and scheduling reasons the scene never came to fruition. A bathroom set was constructed for X2, but it was re-purposed for the scene in which Mystique seduces the prison guard. See more »

Goofs

None of the plot-holes related to time lines on this page are relevant. X-Men: Days of Future Past led to a new time-line being written. Which would most likely lead to causal effects that people wouldn't expect. Advancements in satellite technology, bands and film release dates changing and if there has been a great deal of battleground activities changes in nuclear programs. The premise of the previous movie was to rewrite time. So pointing out that things don't match up to how time was, is not a goof. It's effective and consistent with all causality theories. Quotes

[first lines]
Charles Xavier: Mutants: born with extraordinary abilities, and yet still, they are children stumbling in the dark, searching for guidance. A gift can often be a curse. Give someone wings, and they may fly too close to the sun. Give them the power of prophecy, and they may live in fear of the future. Give them the greatest gift of all, powers beyond imagination, and they may think they are meant to rule the world.

Pretty good
5 June 2016 | by jmhowerton-44373See all my reviews

X-Men: Apocalypse was very fun, but got quite messy at parts. X-Men fans will like this just like I did. it is a huge step down from Days of Future Past and has a pretty clichéd villain. I forgave the clichéd villain because of how cool and how frightening he was. Oscar Isaac did so good as Apocalypse. The characters are well developed, but some of them do not get enough screen time and some get to much. Angel, Psyloche and Storm have no motivation, there is no reason why they agreed to help Apocalypse destroy the world. What would they gain? Overall I thought the movie was good, I had a blast watching it and will be watching it again.
