Monster Party Trailer Invites You to One Killer Dinner

Monster Party Trailer Invites You to One Killer Dinner
The first trailer for Monster Party is here. It's a heck of a time to be a fan of horror. Major studios are putting a lot of thought into their horror offerings these days, but it seems to be trickling down to the smaller releases as well. That's not to say there aren't plenty of questionable horror flicks still making their way out into the world, but competition tends to weed out the weak and as such, everyone has to at least try and step up their game. Enter Monster Party, which looks like it could be taking a few interesting ideas, throwing them in a blender and churning out a bloody good time.

The trailer sets up a questionable dinner party heist of sorts. There is a dinner party at a very fancy house with a safe in it. Some people attending said dinner party are going to try

Elisabeth Moss Joins Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish in Crime Drama “The Kitchen”

Moss in “Top of the Lake”

Andrea Berloff’s directorial debut just added even more star power. With Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish already on board, “The Kitchen” now counts Elisabeth Moss among its cast. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news. The mob drama is slated to hit theaters September 20, 2019.

An adaptation of the DC/Vertigo comic book series of the same name, “The Kitchen” is set in 1970s Hell’s Kitchen, New York. The New Line pic centers on the wives of Irish mobsters. The women step in to fill their husband’s shoes after an FBI sweep lands the men in prison.

“McCarthy will play an adoring mother who leads the women’s charge to take over the business, while Haddish will portray a woman willing to kill anyone in the way of her plan,” the source reveals. “Moss will play a timid wife of an abusive husband

Daddy’s Home 2 movie review: the father away, the better

MaryAnn’s quick take… Goes well beyond the typical mindless array of slapstick and humiliation to reach disgusting new depths of coarseness. Not just appalling, but actually dangerous. I’m “biast” (pro): nothing

I’m “biast” (con): hated Daddy’s Home; this one looked worse

(what is this about? see my critic’s minifesto)

I was going to skip Daddy’s Home 2. The first one was appalling, and did not demand a sequel, and this one looked worse. Life is too short, even for a film critic, to give in and see every idiotic movie. But then a critic friend asked me to attend a press screening with her — you know, as moral support — so I did. As my self-sacrificing good deed for the day. And I’m actually glad I ended up seeing the movie after all. Not because it’s good: dear god in heaven, no.

Mel Gibson Makes His Major Onscreen Comeback in Daddy’s Home 2: Inside His Return from Scandal

Mel Gibson Makes His Major Onscreen Comeback in Daddy’s Home 2: Inside His Return from Scandal
After making a comeback with his Oscar-winning directorial effort Hacksaw Ridge last year, Mel Gibson is now stepping back in front of the camera for the new comedy, Daddy’s Home 2.

The film tells the story of a father and stepfather, played by Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, whose cozy relationship is put to the test when their fathers come to visit for Christmas. Gibson stars as Wahlberg’s old school, tough-guy dad, who is the exact opposite of Ferrel’s overly affectionate dad, played by John Lithgow.

Gibson’s character in the comedy, his first family film in over

‘Sleepless’ Blu-ray Review

Stars: Jamie Foxx, Michelle Monaghan, Scoot McNairy, David Harbour, Dermot Mulroney | Written by Andrea Berloff | Directed by Baran bo Odar

The English-language debut of Swiss director Baran bo Odar delivers nothing of what we want, namely: half-decent action, interesting characters, witty writing, or surprising plot deviations.

Jamie Foxx plays Vegas cop Vincent Downs, whom we first meet in the throes of a violent robbery. He’s stealing a whole bunch of cocaine, which belongs to a casino owner named Rubino (Dermot Mulroney). Problem is, Rubino himself owes it to fearsome gangster Novak (Scoot McNairy), who in turn is in thrall to his megalomaniac father.

After his son is kidnapped by Rubino’s thugs, Downs tries to return the drugs. But he is confounded by Internal Affairs partners Bryant (Michelle Monaghan) and Dennison (David Harbour); suspecting corruption, they step in to disrupt the deal. But in doing so they instigate a sleepless night of fighting,

‘Daddy’s Home 2’ Trailer: Mel Gibson Joins The Family

Mel Gibson‘s comeback hasn’t quite hit the mainstream. While “Hacksaw Ridge” saw the actor/filmmaker back in the awards spotlight, he remained behind the camera for the grisly WWII drama. Thus far, in front of the camera, he’s mostly stuck to genre flicks like “Blood Father,” “Get The Gringo,” “The Expendables 3,” and “Machete Kills.” Well, now he’s hoping to be hugged by the public once again with a little help from Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.
