Sara Bareilles Set For ‘Waitress’ Broadway Return; Gavin Creel Will Co-Star In Limited Engagement
Sara Bareilles, Broadway’s Waitress composer and lyricist, will return to the starring role for a limited engagement in January, launching the hit musical production’s third year.

Though the Tony- and Grammy-nominated Bareilles wrote the show’s music, she did not originate the role of the pie-baking Jenna (that was Jessie Mueller), but Bareilles has taken the Waitress center stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for two previous and very popular stints. The first was in 2017, the second in January 2018.

For the third time around, Bareilles will be joined by Gavin Creel as Dr. Pomatter.

Bareilles and Creel will play the Diane Paulus-directed Waitress engagement from January 7 to February 3, 2019.

The casting was announced today by producers Barry and Fran Weissler and Norton and Elayne Herrick.

“We have three productions of Waitress running,” said Bareilles about the Broadway, London and touring shows,

Another horror film is set in another insane asylum. This time, the film is titled Eloise. The film is from director Robert Legato and writer Christopher Borrelli (The Vatican Tapes). Universal Buys Matt Allen & Chris Borrelli Action Comedy Pitch For Chris Morgan

Exclusive: In a pre-emptive mid-six- against seven-figure deal, Universal has acquired an untitled action comedy pitch for Chris Morgan Productions, I’ve learned. Matt Allen and Chris Borrelli will pen the script based on their pitch — whose logline is being kept tightly under wraps. However, I’m told by a person close to the project that it has the potential of becoming an action comedy tentpole. Both writers have a long relationship with Fast & Furious franchise writer Morgan. He’ll produce via his Universal-based banner.

Borrelli and Allen’s stars have been steadily rising. Borrelli recently collaborated with Morgan on Lionsgate’s The Vatican Tapes with Borrelli writing the script and the two producing alongside Chris Cowles and Lakeshore Entertainment. It hits theaters February 27.

Borrelli’s script Wake is starting production in February with John Pogue directing for Benaroya Pictures with Exclusive Media, Dmg, and Circle of Confusion producing. His

Chace Crawford Splits From Model Rachelle Goulding

Chace Crawford and his model girlfriend Rachelle Goulding have called it quits after more than a year of dating.

Chace Crawford, Rachelle Goulding Split

Crawford, 29, broke the news of his breakup during an interview with Sydney’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show. When he was asked whether or not he was still dating “the hot chick” aka Goulding, Crawford admitted that the two had split.

"Ah, no. I'm not. I'm not," said the former Gossip Girl star, adding, “It's totally good. It's totally good. We had fun."

Though he’s now single, Crawford, who recently relocated to Los Angeles from New York City, hasn’t had the time to dive into dating again just yet. "I am traveling too much right now," said Crawford. "I am just trying to move in [to my new place] and I have a couple of independent films right now."

Crawford also revealed that the dating scene in

Bring it on, Boston. Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox have split after five years of dating, the actress revealed in an interview with The Boston Globe. According to the Eloise star, wanting to live on opposite coasts played a key role in their breakup. "Rick's an L.A. guy and I'm a Boston girl," the 33-year-old said. "Nobody in L.A. has a basement. They all have the obligatory storage spaces in the Valley." The Massachusetts native recently purchased a condo in her home state, and plans to attend college. "I'd [...]

The Wolf of Wall Street’s P.J. Byrne has joined Martin Scorsese’s currently untitled HBO rock ‘n’ roll pilot.

The currently untitled drama is set in 1970s New York and will follow Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale), a record exec trying to resurrect his label as punk and disco are breaking into the city’s drug- and sex-fueled music scene. Byrne has been cast in the role of Scott Levitt, Finestra’s partner.

Last month, it was announced that Parenthood’s Ray Romano had joined the cast as Zak Yankovich, one of Finestra’s friends who has a history of

‘Wolf Of Wall Street’ Star To Dance In Street For Scorsese/Jagger Project

Pj Byrne worked with Martin Scorsese on The Wolf Of Wall Street and clearly both men enjoyed the experience as Byrne has been cast in the director’s as-yet-untitled music industry pilot for HBO. It will be co-produced by the powerhouse combination of Scorsese and Mick Jagger, together with Wolf creative team Terence Winter and Emma Koskoff. Winter was also responsible for the filmmaking legend’s first move into TV drama with Boardwalk Empire and the new production has that show’s Bobby Cannavale (who is also in Chef) in a major role as Richie Finestra, a record executive in 1970s New York. Byrne will play his business partner Scott Levitt.

As well as Byrne and Cannavale the impressive cast features Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple and Ray Romano. Shooting is looking to start in early Summer and will be a far cry from Byrne’s next movie project, Eloise. A
