Trivia

At least three versions of Jamie's injured hand were used during filming. One was an animatronic hand for the table scene, with fingers that "twitched;" one was the hand on which Claire performs surgery, and one was Heughan's real hand covered in blood and prosthetic make-up. See more »

Goofs

Over the course of several scenes, Jamie's injured hand goes from severely mangled to merely covered with blood and back again. This is likely the result of the scene using several prosthetic hands as well as Sam Heughan's own hand covered in make-up and fake blood. See more »

Really didn't need to see all "that".

I just started watching this series and have loved it. But I found this particular episode very hard to watch. The actors did an amazing job but I didn't need to see the graphic sex scenes in the prison to appreciate what Jamie was going through. Sometimes less is more, especially in this case. It seemed to me that those who wrote and produced these explicit scenes were looking to tantalize the audience, which to me is the wrong emotion to elicit.
