Tom: What's your favourite color?
Will: What's *your* favourite color?
[They sit for a moment]
Tom: What was my mother's favourite color?
Tom: Maybe I learnt it from her. I wish I could remember her.
Will: She'd wish for that, too.
Tom: I think it might be easier on us if we try to adapt.
Will: We're in their clothes. We're in their house. We're eating their food. We're doing their work. We have adapted.
Tom: Do you have difficulty enjoying things? Have you felt distant or cut off from people? Are you unable to have sad or loving feelings?
Tom: What if the kids at school think I'm strange 'cause of the way we were living?
Will: How important are their judgments?
Tom: Seahorses pair for life. They find each other first thing in the morning to reinforce their pair bonding.
