Trivia

Scott Allen Nollen co-wrote, produced and directed this short Eastmancolor film while a student in the Communication Studies Department at the University of Iowa. It was inspired by his friendship with the late Bruce F. "Bruk" Gantenbein, who then was the host of the Saturday night horror-movie show "Saturday Nightmare," which aired weekly on a local Cedar Rapids, Iowa, television station. This funny little satire on Ed Wood-style grade-Z Hollywood movies was supposed to air on "Saturday Nightmare," but as often happens more times than not, the horror-movie show was canceled. "Bruk" also died fair too young. Nollen recalled, "He had a huge ego, but also a huge heart, and his passing was a great loss." See more »
