Tom Welling And Lynda Carter Reportedly Returning For Crisis On Infinite Earths

This fall’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is no doubt going to be the biggest crossover to hit the Arrowverse yet. In fact, all the signs are pointing to it being the most ambitious TV crossover event in history. We already know that it will see Brandon Routh suit up again as Superman, for the first time since 2006’s Superman Returns, plus Batman ’66’s Burt Ward – as in the Boy Wonder, Robin himself – will also appear.

Now, two more major DC universe stars are reportedly set to feature in “Crisis.” writes that “a source from Comic-Con” has informed them that both Smallville‘s Tom Welling and 70s Wonder Woman Lynda Carter will make appearances in the event. The site confirms that the pair are expected to reprise their famous superhero roles as Clark Kent and Diana Prince, respectively.

Carter returning would make sense in many ways as, similar to Routh,

Supergirl Stars Talk the Power of Pants, Pregnancy and Lena's Next Move: It's Going to Be 'Elegant… and Dangerous'
“We didn’t mean to do a Supergirl makeover,” cried the heroine’s portrayer Melissa Benoist when she and her colleagues stopped by TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con video suite Saturday. But between Kara’s bangs and Supergirl’s pants, “we did!”

As excited as the actress was about her alter egos’ new look, she and Team Supergirl actually had even more important business to discuss with TVLine’s Andy Swift. For starters, the imminent exit of Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen in Season 5 (which kicks off Sunday, Oct. 6). Leaving is “a lot harder than I thought it would be,

Comic-Con: Marvel ‘Shock and Awe’ Strategy Dominates Twitter Buzz

  • Variety
Disney’s Marvel Studios handily won the hype trophy from this year’s Comic-Con International San Diego.

Marvel Studios — which returned to the 2019 Comic-Con stage with a chock-full Phase 4 slate of announcements — dominated the discussion on Twitter out of the convention, capturing the biggest volume of buzz for nine of the top 10 movies or TV shows overall, according to social-analytics firm ListenFirst Media.

“After sitting out Comic-Con in 2018, Marvel Studios basically unleashed a shock-and-awe campaign in Hall H this year,” said ListenFirst Cmo Tracy David. Overall, The CW’s “Supernatural” was the only non-Marvel project to crack the top 10, coming in at No. 7.

The No. 1 most-discussed movie or show at Comic-Con was Marvel’s surprise announcement of the return of the Thor franchise with Natalie Portman in the title role of “Thor: Love and Thunder.” That was followed by the “Blade” reboot starring Mahershala Ali, the standalone “Black Widow

Burt Ward to appear in Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths

Late last week it was announced that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh will be pulling double duty in this year’s Arrowverse crossover, with the actor set to reprise his Superman Returns role as the Man of Steel in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Well, that isn’t all the big five-part event has in store for DC fans, as it was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that Burt Ward, who of course played Robin alongside Adam West’s Caped Crusader in the 1960s Batman TV series, will be making an appearance in the episode.

No further details on Ward’s involvement were revealed, and it’s not known whether he’ll be portraying an aged, alternate Earth incarnation of the Boy Wonder, or a new character entirely.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is set to span five of The CW’s DC shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl,

The was a big weekend for the The CW’s DC shows at Comic-Con! Fans were treated with the first trailers for Supergirl Season 5, The Flash Season 6, and Arrow Season 8.

All of the trailers offer us all of these heroes in action while wearing their brand new suits. All the suits look great, but I especially like Supergirl’s new suit! It’s a very cool and slick new design.

Supergirl Season 5 will see Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) face off with the villain Leviathan as well as her friend friend, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), who has finally turned on her. It was also announced that Jon Cryer would return as Lex Luthor for the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover this fall.

In The Flash Season 6, we will see the Scarlet Speedster face off with the DC villain Dr. Ramsey Rosso a.k.a. Bloodwork, who is played by Sendhil Ramamurthy.

Mehcad Brooks to leave Supergirl in season 5, but Jeremy Jordan returns

Just as Supergirl unveiled its fifth season trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con, news has come from Entertainment Weekly that Mehcad Brooks, the series’ James Olsen and one of the original stars, will be leaving Supergirl during the season.

According to EW, Brooks made the decision to depart on his own “in order to focus on feature films and develop a cable series in which he would star. He’s also currently writing a book.”

Brooks has played photographer – and Superman’s best pal – James Olsen since the beginning of the series. Since then, Olsen has transitioned from photographer to the vigilante Guardian to the head of CatCo. While his final episode hasn’t been revealed it’s said he will leave in the fall, presumably before the Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths.

“We love Mehcad and we’re sad to see him leave the show as a series regular,

Crisis on Infinite Earths: Anti-Monitor Revealed

Jim Dandy Jul 21, 2019

Meet the Anti-Monitor, the main antagonist of Crisis on Infinite Earths!

Over on Twitter, Marc Guggenheim, executive producer and co-creator of The CW's now-sprawling DC TV Arrowverse, dropped some news that we've all been waiting for: the Anti-Monitor is set to appear in this year's major, five-hour crossover event, which will see the entire multiverse face its doom. He will be played by none other than Lamonica Garrett himself.

The road to Crisis on Infinite Earths was paved in last year's Elseworlds event and the teases continued on the individual shows after that. Lamonica Garrett's Monitor showed up in each show - Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow - during their season finales, teasing how each series would play a role in the Crisis to come. While the Anti-Monitor has yet to appear in the Arrowverse, it was expected that he'd be introduced at some point this year.

Supergirl Season 5 trailer released at Comic-Con

During the Supergirl panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, they revealed a first look at the upcoming fifth season with a trailer. Watch it below…

The season will see Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) getting an updated costume as she ditches the skirt she’s worn since the beginning of the series for dark pants. The sizzle reel gives a look at the past season while teasing what is to come for the superheroine, namely the fallout of Lena Luthor learning Supergirl’s true identity and how she has been lied to for years.

As has been tradition, Supergirl will crossover with the other CW Arrowverse shows for the anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths special. Tyler Hoechlin will return to portray Superman, but Brandon Routh – who plays The Atom in Legends of Tomorrow – will reprise his Superman Returns role as the Man of Steel in the crossover too, playing a version inspired

Crisis on Infinite Earths and the Secrets of the Monitor

Mike Cecchini Jul 22, 2019

Lamonica Garrett told us about becoming the Monitor for Elseworlds and what to expect in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is coming. The crossover event that the Arrowverse has been teasing since the very first episode of The Flash will finally arrive in the fall, and it promises to be even bigger and crazier in scope than we could have hoped for. The wheels were set in motion by last year's crossover, Elseworlds, which introduced a familiar cosmic figure from the pages of DC Comics: The Monitor.

The Monitor is played by Lamonica Garrett, who joined us at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about how he got the role, the fun stuff that happened behind the scenes of Elseworlds, and just how faithful to the comics Crisis on Infinite Earths will be.

Den of Geek: Tell us about about how you got the part of the Monitor.

First Official Look At Kara’s New Costume In Supergirl Season 5 Revealed

Thanks to an Instagram post from Melissa Benoist last week, we discovered that the Girl of Steel would be sporting a radical new appearance in Supergirl season 5. Not only has she got a new hairstyle, but Kara Danvers has swapped her classic red skirt for an all over blue outfit. Set photos gave us a further glimpse of the costume and now, The CW has provided us with the best look yet at the new, improved Supergirl in this awesome promo image seen below.

Released today at the show’s Comic-Con panel, it depicts the heroine striding through National City with pandemonium apparently going on around her. The main focus of the image, though, is of course her new togs. Some have complained about the lack of the red skirt outsetting the balance between the two colours, but in this photo the bold blue really works. We’re definitely getting

Brandon Routh Playing Kingdom Come Superman In Crisis On Infinite Earths

Never in a million years did I think I’d ever write the headline or article that I am right now.

Before I get too ahead of myself, allow me to bring everyone up to speed. Long story short, it was revealed this week that Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh will indeed feature in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover event – but as Superman. Yes, that’s right, he’ll be suiting up as Big Blue for the first time since 2006’s Superman Returns.

What’s doubly intriguing is that Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin will also drop by as his own version of the Man of Steel, making this the first time two iterations of the timeless icon will participate in a live action story arc. That said, we can now put to bed any suspicions of which incarnation Routh is playing – and it’s not the one we

Lex Luthor Confirmed To Return For Crisis On Infinite Earths

Lex Luthor made his Arrowverse debut in the back half of Supergirl season 4, with Jon Cryer’s take on Superman’s nemesis winning over fans. The good news is that we won’t have long to wait until we get to see the criminal mastermind again. It was confirmed today at Supergirl‘s panel at Comic-Con that Lex will return in this fall’s big crossover event, “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”

That’s all we know for now, but this info comes as both a surprise and something we expected after the season 4 finale. First of all, Lex died at his sister Lena’s hand, so it could be considered a bit of shock that he’s back so soon. However, the last scene of the episode saw the Monitor waving a hand in the direction of Luthor’s corpse, which suggested the cosmic being may have some use for the villain.
