ABC Developing Drama ‘Completeness’ Produced By Michael Strahan

ABC has put in development Completeness, a drama from writer Adam Stein Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan and his Smac Entertainment, director James Griffiths (A Million Little Things) and ABC Studios.

Written by Stein, Completeness is described as This Is Us meets Grey’s Anatomy meets Westworld (without robots). In our increasingly atomized world, a company sets out a shingle to provide its clients with what’s missing in their lives. Whatever you need — a friend, a mother, a grandson, a husband — the Complete Company’s versatile facilitators can become it for you. The resulting relationships are more real than you’d expect, and sometimes way more complicated.

Stein executive produces with Strahan, Constance Schwartz and Thea Mann for Smac Entertainment, and Griffiths, who also is set to direct.

Freeform has put into development How the Other Half Hamptons, an hourlong series from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and Kelly Ripa and Mark ConsuelosMilojo Productions.

Based on the book by Jasmin Rosemberg, which was released by Grand Central Publishing in 2008, How the Other Half Hamptons explores the Hamptons sharehouse, an annual ritual with a camp-like culture that scores of Manhattan twentysomethings take part in every summer.

Best friends Rachel (the good girl), Jamie (the wild one), and Allison (the suddenly single serial monogamist) are about to find out How The Other Half Hamptons. For 16 weekends, they’ll inhabit a 10-bedroom house with 40 strangers and juggle endless parties with regrettable hookups while dodging unexpected twists of fate. Freeform Cancels ‘Kevin From Work’ After 1 Season
Freeform has canceled “Kevin From Work” after one season, TheWrap has learned. The workplace comedy starring Noah Reid and Paige Spara, wrapped its 10-episode first season in October with series low of just 120,000 total viewers for the season finale. The cancellation marks the first for Freeform since rebranding itself in January. Dramas “Switched at Birth” and “The Fosters” were renewed by the network last year. Director McG in Talks to Direct He-Man Film?

He-man And The Masters Of The Universe is one property to always seems to be hopping around Hollywood. Cut from the same cloth as Transformers, He-man was another 80s cartoon based on a toy line that's placed a real heavy stamp on pop culture, for better or worse. Last year, we reported that Christopher Yost, one of the screenwriters for the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok film, was penning the script to the Masters Of The Universe film, and now, several months later, it looks like we have a potential director in the works.
