Sophie Baines, Dorn's second at the trial of Wombosi, is kidnapped. Her driver is killed. New evidence she had dug up is challenged. Only she knows where the evidence came from. Dorn's investigative team has been disbanded. He puts together a new team to find Sophie.
Reflux. A better than average serie gutted like a trout and with no actual explanation for the death/defection of 3/4 of the cast enters S3. The wonderful Michelle Fairley joins the cast in a temporary, bit part, but she is gone too soon. Only Sebastian Berger and Arabela Seeger remain to assist an increasingly important Michel Dorn (Donald Sutherland, but without the martini) to navigate the vanilla transplants like Elizabeth Mitchell and Stuart Martin.
After the prosecuting attorney in a war-crimes trial is kidnapped, everyone believes it's the first stage of a demand for acquittal. But when no such demand is made, Michel Dorn puts the surviving members of his disbanded ICU team to work, uncovering a web of hacked phones, shadowy deals and leaked secrets. It's unofficial and dangerous - but not as dangerous as a hired gunman who doesn't need his prisoner any more.
