Trivia

The lines said by some of the heroes are references to what happened to the creators of Arrow (2012):

"I started this alone, and had every intention of keeping it that way", a nod to the producers who had no intention whatsoever for Arrow to have spin-offs.

"I had a plan, life had a different one", the creators never intended to create spin-offs, but the fan demand and ratings pushed into doing so.

"Then things just got stranger", the producers never wanted for superpowers to be a part of their universe, but it started making references to them starting with Barry Allen's appearance in Arrow: The Scientist (2013).

"But the truth is, sometimes we're not enough, sometimes, the world needs a team", a line spoken by Barry/The Flash, referencing The Flash: Flash vs. Arrow (2014)/Arrow: The Brave and the Bold (2014) crossovers, where characters from both The Flash and Arrow have to team up in each others series to take down enemies they can't beat on their own. Boring then Awesome then Crash and Burn
23 June 2019 | by tane883See all my reviews

If you are Interested in the show, here is my honest opinion. The show started cheesy, lost, didn't make much sense and the arrow/flash integration was a mess. The starting story was not that intriguing, not enough to crave more episodes, at least for me. But with time got direction, the cast got better, got his own identity and style, cgi got a lot better and they started to have fun with time traveling and the "what ifs" of messing with time and history, opposite to Flash avoiding time traveling. They fill the show with a lot of pop culture, lot of iconic people from history, cameos and references. They started to have fun with ideas and episodes got interesting even if the main story wasn't. Like what if Star Wars... That stuff was fun. But then they wrap up time traveling villains, change the cast too much or how the character supposed to be and introduce magic and time traveling was not important anymore. The show got lost and was worst than the beginning. If you ask me, 1st season took some time to get better but it got shape up at some point, thanks. Then 2nd and 3rd were pretty good and fun. Then 4th crash and burned. I only hope the 5th save the show and wrap up with the last crazy crossover (since I hate them because I dont like Super Girl and Arrow doesn't make sense anymore and we are forced to watch them all IF you want to follow the crossover) but I dont have too much faith in the 5th season, I'm sorry. I REALLY HOPE THEY FIX IT. So watch it, get entertain while it last, kill time and then if you get bored toss it away and dont feel bad, is not the kind of show you look forward to the finally. Believe me at some point you really dont care how the show is gonna end anyway.
